It's not a problem. This is more the natural order of things. And I thought losing Ken Norton, Jr. after the '93 season was tough. Poor guy.

I'm really going to miss him as well. He was my favorite cowboy the last couple seasons. He never really got a fair chance to contribute on O IMO. He was a big reason for our mentality. I think this team is going to take a long hard look at drafting Ty Montgomery.

Montgomery could certainly be a candidate. There's some similarities to Harris...though Harris definitely has the more consistent hands as a WR & Montgomery may be a bit limited as a WR.

Montgomery was an All-American return man...can be a solid blocker as a receiver...has a stocky frame similar to Harris (though bigger), was used on quick screens, reverses, and out of the backfield similar to Harris.

A couple of other potential candidates in the draft (among others).....

Tyler Lockett (another All-American return man...4 kick return TD's & 2 punt return TD's with a 28.5 average on KR's & a 15.2 average on PR's...was a very good WR too, but has a very slight frame)

I like Kenny Bell...he's solid on special teams coverages & had 51 career kick returns, Nebraska's all-time leading receiver...one of the better blocking WR's in the draft...team captain...49 career starts...also has a slight frame...posted good speed and explosiveness #'s at the combine)

I love lockett but he can't replace Harris, just too small. I'm not sure he will return punts or kicks in the NFL.

David Buehler would be good to sign to return kicks.........He can do everything!
