I will go out on a limb and say Willie Blade if he come back in shape. I like him better that Ferguson who seems to have lost whatever quickeness he might have had. We should cut Fergy and let Blade rotate with Thomas and Ratliff.

Our starter will be Ferguson.

Draft of Ngata, Watson, Fafitta. Oshinowo

Young bull in the rotation. Anthony Montgomery moving up charts and might be a nice hybrid 3-4 DT/DE for us.

I am hoping that Ferguson is a man and will come back strong this year!

Ferguson started season early, split reps with Glover. He did fine. There is this crazy "notion" on who is a stud and who sux that is out of whack here.

a 3-4 NT is not a Sack position. Its taking up space and not glorious. Fergi is good at that. I posted his tackles and sacks against the best "perceived" NT's last month. There was no difference.

Yet a TE like Campbell that has like 2 catches, can't keep his QB from getting killed and can't get a RB free yet is "perceived" as a great run blocker. Thats hogwash! In fact JJ went off in 2004 when Campbell was out of the lineup.

Ferguson will start, but the run defense struggled last year. Especially the second half of the season when teams started trying to exploit it.

F7 still needs work.

If he does not start and do much better he will become noting but a big waste. So I hope he gets his tail in gear!

the run D struggled but that wasn't on Fergi -- that was more about losing so many LBs.

Grady might be too fat and out of shape to be on a Parcells team. Don't know how much that guy has left anyway.

Isn't he going to have to get under 500 lbs first... He is definately a run plugger, but I'd be leery of his fourth quarter conditioning. Especially after watching the Cowboys' games this past season, eeking out nearly every one.

Ferguson for the 1st 4 weeks, and then Rookie DT Gabe Watson will take over from there.

I'm not sure where the frustration with Ferguson is coming from. I thought he had a good year. If you were wanting a lot og numbers, then you were going to be disappointed no matter who was there. And even then, his numbers stack up well in comparison to other big NTs, and he was playing in a platoon type of system.

Ferg did fine. NT usually dont make highlight reels, so its much harder to tell if they've really been doing their job. You'd have to break down every run play to see what he really did.
