I have been watching a couple of the Video's of our Defense and I am honestly trying to figure out who is really the harder hitter. Roy Williams or Kieth Davis. I mean Roy is in Position to hit people more. But when they lay the wood who actually hits harder out of the two? Now I am not saying one is better than the other when it comes to hitting, just want to hear what you guys think. I mean when it comes down to it they both destroy people.

if you have any questions about this see the RW "Boom" video and look at the last hit on the 49er returner

IMO, the harder hitter is Davis since Roy starting doing that dopey ankle tackle thing he does (way too often) now.

:)

Nah, no blame.

In 2005 he wasn't the impact hitter he was in prior seasons, for whatever reason.

Here comes the BOOM wasn't the theme song for Roy because someone thought it had a good beat and was easy to dance to.

Oh I am not saying that Roy doesn't blow people up. Just look at KD's hits on Royale, McCown, Foster and Bagwell.

Roy Williams definitely. Keith Davis had some very nice hits this past season.. but Roy has enough hits to fill up an entire highlight video.

And for more of an up to date video than BOOM.. I'd like to suggest checking out my latest video "Tear It Up"

Download link available in my sig.
If you just can't manage to DL it... here's a YouTube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx6AVkihYi8&search=Roy%20Williams
but the Download file has MUCH MUCH BETTER quality.

9 out of 10 NFL W/R says RW hits harder then KD. And Emmitt Smith agrees.

Thanks man I really appreciate that!

I know I have a tendency to repost about my videos and stuff... I just do that for those people that may not have seen my videos or my site before.
A lot of times these days I see people post links to videos on YouTube that have been on my site for months... just making sure everyone knows about the content that is available.

I don't know how this thread is getting serious responses.
Its like asking,"which one is farthest from Dallas,New York or the moon?

Roy without a doubt.

I gave it serious thought..and chose Davis.

Prior to 2005, there's no question, it's Williams.

Every hit that people talk about from Williams pre-dates the 2005 season when he started diving at the ball carrier's feet.

Who has the potential to deliver the bigger hit? NO question, Roy.

Who has more notches in his belt for big hits. No question, Roy.

Last season was his least "productive" with regard to big hits.

No doubt it is RW.

KD is a more sure tackler but RW literally puts folks out of the game.

How many other players cause rule creation and dislocate shoulders on clean hits?
Butkus, Lott, Ham, Tatum, Nobis and a few others have hit as hard but they had the advantage of much more lax tackling rules.

RW's legs are just so naturally strong and thats where your tackling power comes from.

On what basis? Roy missed the tackle on Gonzo and KD missed the tackle on Ron Dayne... there were not any other tackles of note that either of them missed.

Hey bud... :)

I completely agree...prior to 2005.

He might have been the biggest hitting safety in the history of the game.

But it's almost as if he's been into creating a signature tackle....used to be the horse collar...last year it seemed to be diving at the feet of opponents.

Whatever...the guy can pack a wallop that puts people on Jupiter.
