Not to pull anyone away from the discussion of how Josh Brent has made the Cowboys a laughingstock, but a new article is out on DeSean Jackson's gang ties:

http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2014/03/eagles_desean_jackson_off-the-field_troubles.html

Yet the Eagles' apparent interest in jettisoning Jackson likely has little to do with his performance on the field or a big-money contract that could squeeze the team's salary cap. Rather, sources close to Jackson and within the Eagles' organization say, it's Jackson's off-field behavior that concerns the front office. A bad attitude, an inconsistent work ethic, missed meetings and a lack of chemistry with head coach Chip Kelly are the reasons, sources told NJ.com. And when the Eagles looked more deeply into why Jackson was missing meetings, they found that his friends were becoming a more powerful -- and negative -- influence in his life.

Now the Eagles have even more serious concerns -- Jackson's continued association with reputed Los Angeles street gang members who have been connected to two homicides since 2010.

Pretty bad.

And good. Now this is out, good luck trading him.

Josh Brent has not made the Cowboys a laughingstock.

I was attempting that Sarcasm stuff I've heard so much about. In a league where other teams were playing Aaron Hernandez and Ray Lewis, I agree Brent didn't make the team a laughingstock some like some suggested here.

I hope it's true. He is what makes that offense so dangerous. Take him out of the equation and the field shrinks.

Yep. Good news for Cowboys fans, at least short term.

Things must be baaaaaadddddd....

He doesn't even have to catch a pass to impact the game. Just his threat over the top of the defense creates so much space for the rest of their skill position players to work.

That's a big hit for the Eagles. Good luck replacing that speed dimension to your offense.

And to think my biggest concern about DJax coming out of college was his size as I like taller WR's.

Yep. Closes that gap that existed between them and the rest of the division a bit.

Now I'd put them at a net loss so far this offseason, like us.

I think it's why Cooper has the success he has had. Now we will see. But I can see the Eagles getting a WR now with their 1st pick.
