Besides Michael Crabtree Christ, that is?

For me it's Mitch King. He's the best defensive lineman I've seen at the NCAA level in a long time. With Canty (hopefully) not being re-signed, I would really, really love to see us land him to rotate with Hatcher, Bowen, and Spears.

Our team lacks intensity, especially at the point of attack, and King is the best in the draft at getting in the backfield.

Max Unger C/Oregon

Sorry...I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy . I love his versatility , nastiness , and willingness to do anything across the offensive line .

While I hope Canty IS re-signed , I gotta agree with you on King . You gotta love those guys who pull their own hair out after a bad play . I don't know where he'd fit on the Cowboys , but they do need some guys like this on the field .

Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma

No, I'm not kidding.

Could you imagine having Robinson and Davis as our guards? I know he'll be gone long before we pick, but it is nice to dream.

I like the guy that allowed Unger to move inside. Tupou has the same nasty streak, can play any position on the line, nearly Larry Allen strong and is still learning the position so his ceiling might be higher for lower pick.

I don't know much about him since I couldn't follow the Big 12 too closely, but guards rarely go round 1. What's to stop us from moving up into the top of the 2nd to pick up a stud guard? Would anyone be against it? It was painfully obvious how badly the offense was hurt when Proctor was forced to play. I mean, so obvious that even John Madden saw it. Just a thought, I guess.

As for favorite player, I haven't really gotten to that point yet. It's usually a mid-round guy for me who has a huge upside. However, there's some serious talent in this years draft. I like the WR class a whole lot, the RBs are good, and there's some QBs I like as well.

I like Aaron Maybin, DE Penn St and his teammate Maurice Evans, DE. Not sure if they'd fit our system, but both great pass rushers. Josh Freeman should be a good one. I think we may need to take a wide-out this draft simply because of all the great ones available.

I do like Tupou , and your right he's a beast ! I don't think he has the feet to play LT in the NFL though . I think he's probably a RT at best and more likely a guard . Who knows what coaching will do for him in the NFL though .

After reading everything this guy seems like the Joe Thomas of 2009. I know that scouts say he can excel at any position on the line. One guy replaces five positions.
"
STRENGTHS
Max has the athletic talent and intellect to play all the offensive line positions. He is an excellent center with quick feet and a wide base. He shows good lateral agility and strength. Max keeps his feet moving when blocking both for the run or the pass. The kid is a technician and understands how and why he is supposed to block his opponent. He has excellent leadership qualities through his play on the field and through his obvious work ethic. Max Unger reminds me a lot of the Hall of Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews. Bruce was drafted in the first round, (9th over all) in 1983 by the Houston Oilers. Bruce played all of the offensive line positions (guard, center and tackle) before he retired. Bruce went to the to the Pro Bowl as a guard and center. Max Unger has this type of talent. "

Players who impact our team the most......

1) BJ Raji - similar push Rat inside....get Rat's pass rushing presence from the outside......D gets better.

2) Any of the top 3 OT's playing LG for us.

3) Duke Robinson

4) Any of the top 3 or 4 ILB's.

No, I'm not kidding.

Why should you be kidding?? I mean, I see multiple Pro Bowl appearances in his future...

Big, mean and mobile, what's not to like??

I'm trying to come up with one favorite, but I just can't...

Because OG isn't sexy enough for most people. I think he is head and shoulders above the other OGs in this Draft and may be the best one I have seen in 5 or 6 years.

What do you guys think of Jonathan Casillas?

I might come off as a Wisconsin homer, but I'm actually not a fan of the team, I'm just more familiar with it and the Big Ten than other conferences (which might explain why I'm high on King/Casillas/Maybin/Evans/Williams/etc.).

Anyway, I'd really like to see if Casillas bulks up to the 240 range before the combine. The guy sheds blocks pretty well and he finds his way to the ballcarrier often--he was definitely the best out of Wisconsin's rather good LB group.
