So, who could this be....Williams or Ellis are most likely candidates....almost sounds like Ellis because he is always whining for no reason.

Other probowl guys seem to be okay -- TO, Romo, Witten, Barber, Gurode, Davis, Adams, Folk, Ware, Hamlin, and Newman.

My vote is that the comment was from Ellis.

Not sure, but Ellis has been here for 11 years. Dallas has not won a playoff game since he joined the team. Maybe over this time someone left and got a ring...not sure, but possible. Ellis likes to whine, not a leader at all....just wants money.

There was no mention of the team the player was associated with.

I would say either the Ravens, Bengals, or Atlanta. Who has left there to win a Superbowl ?

I would not say Ellis is "not a leader at all"

It has been well documented that even though he whines, he is still very helpful to Ware and Spencer. I would call Ellis to smart, ver intelligent and business savy. It seems that if you are a player and want something done in the league u either whine quietly like Ellis or beat your chest loud like owns.

Well it's a player who thinks their days are numbered with their current team. Williams immediately leaps to mind -- but I can't think of anyone the Cowboys let go who won a ring.

What about Lance Briggs?

What about Jason Taylor -- I believe this article was pre-trade?

One under-contract Pro Bowler says his days with his team are numbered. "It seems whoever leaves us gets a Super Bowl ring," he told me. "We're a mess."

I simply don't see a Cowboy saying this. For a Cowboy to say "we're a mess" is simply crazy, even for Ellis. We have Pro Bowlers everywhere and most predictions have the Cowboys either to or winning the Super Bowl. How is that "being a mess"? With the possible execption of Terry Glenn and Ellis, everybody is happy and eager for the season to start.

This quote is more likely coming from a Raider, Falcon or Bengal (Chad Johnson?, possibly referring to Cory Dillon moving to the Patriots a few years ago)

But definitely not a Cowboy.

It wasn't a Cowboy, I'm almost positive. Why would any current Cowboy say that? They wouldn't.

My guess would be Washington. Peirce got a SB ring with NY and I'm not sure if there are any more. The only Pro Bowlers they had last year were Samuels and Cooley, right?

Could've been one of them.

The last 2 Super Bowl winners are the Giants and Colts. I don't remember any Free Agents who they acquired the last 2 years.

Very strange reference.

Eric Steinbach signed big money with the Browns -- while they haven't won a ring are supposed to be contenders.

It was probably Jason Taylor.

Both Welker and Seau left the dolphins for the pats, and both got rings.
