I just saw this on BSPN.

Jerry Jones
Bill Parcells
Terrell Owens
Tony Romo

This is apparently an ESPN poll question on their site. I would link it but I stay away from there. However, this is a great question. I have to say it's on Parcells. At the end of the day his lack of desire to change and adapt to issues that occurred down the stretch was a detriment to the success of the team. He made zero adjustment after the N.O. thrashing.

Thoughts?

Parcells + lack of players executing.

I couldnt just blame the coach.

I hear ya Mick. You're right. I'm just curious though. When we get thrashed the way we got handled by New Orleans would more of that seem to be coaching or player preparation (which also falls under coaching)? I see where you're going because ultimately players are charged with making plays but if they're out of position then they're already behind the 8 ball which significantly decreases their chance to make plays.

Everybody.

In regards to the defense it was a snowball effect and confidence was lost at the wrong time. In regards to the offense teams had just the right number of games ahead of time to peg Romo somewhat.

They almost were able to regain it cause in the playoff game it wasnt like the defense was thrashed against a savvy been there done that team on the road.

And the offense, but perhaps for a couple flukey bounces though..

It was what it was.

Yeah... that starts with Parcells... but at some point players have to stop the bleeding(thats out of coaches hands for the most part)

no sweat brother.. I saw the bogus ESPN poll... I know you would have contructed a better pole than that BS network :D

how could the defense not be an option? Did Jones and TO allow all those pts and yards?

Refusing to adapt to what other teams were doing against his team after NO.

Like their polls that leave Dirk out of the MVP choices, this is not a good poll.

The biggest culprit for the late season collapse was the defense. Maybe that was Bill, or Zimmer, or injuries we didn't know about, but the defense really killed Dallas in December.

The players for not having the nuts to man up and play.
Parcells for not silting their throats.
