I haven't heard weather it's going to be Rolando or Durant.

Nobody knows. They seem to really want Durant at WLB. The 1st string in the next practice should be the projected 1st string for the game. They even had Hitchens practicing with the first string at MLB last week with Durant at WLB and Carter at SLB.

I expect it to be a rotation because nobody has earned the starting position , that's what you're going to see to start the season until someone actually separates themselves from the rest

I'm thinking that the trio of Durant, McClain, and Carter look like a real positional group for linebacker...now they have to play it out.

McClain hasn't really shown up. Who knows if he's even in shape enough to start and play a significant number of snaps?

If he isn't in football shape after an entire NFL training camp, when will he be in shape?

He was out of football a long time. It will take a while. He was saying he's been sore every day.

True, but I heard he had been working out prior to joining the Cowboys as well.

If he's really not in shape yet, I don't think I'm comfortable with him as the starter. It's an injury waiting to happen.

Question- who on our defense is going to be receiving the playcalls from our sideline? It would've definitely been Lee, but I'm thinking it's not going to be his replacement at MLB, or any of the LBers for that matter (considering how in flux they are right now).

Is it Barry?

Just curious.

There automatically somewhat of a rotation when you consider the Nickel vs Base defense.

They need McClain in the Base defense which they played, on average, 39% of the snaps last season.

Durant and Carter are most likely the 2 LBs in the Nickel defense.

I could of been a little clearer, but I was primarily referring to the "Starting" base 4-3 defense for which I still don't think Dallas knows who's the set starting linebackers in their base defense, especially regarding the middle linebacker spot

I'm just pointing out that they don't have to have a MLB rotation if McClain can manage to play about 39% of the snaps.
