A little help please?

All I know is he is the guy the moved over to LE to back up Coleman while Spears is out. He's playing because Spears isn't.

The bigger, more demoralizing question has to be...

Who was (trying) to block him?

Not encouraging at all for our RT situation

Thomas Johnson-Middle Tennessee State.

I agree, this guy was an animal today...I thought Ratliff was holding his own as well during the scrimmage today.

I was watching on demand, jerry jones special edition, and Ron Wolf was interviewed, and here are few things he said.

. Third reciever most impressive has been Patrick Crayton.

. Not sure of Right tackle.

Yeah, Id say so

Perhaps the same fat arse that took Spears out of action for a month...

If its the same guy - he's out of here. It was either Rogers, Tucker, Petitti for starters...

Look, you can't hold Spears' injury against Torrin Tucker.

That could happen to anyone, from anyone.

Torrin Tucker gave up several sacks according to DMN...incl back to back sacks with Henson at QB to the Johnson kid

I don't think Petitti has played a down since camp started. He's been nursing some sort of ankle injury. His chance to make the team is slowly disappearing - unless they want to put him on injured reserve or something.

Rogers stepping up; Canty shows promise

OXNARD, Calif. - Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones kept bringing up one player's name as training camp approached last month.

But the name – offensive tackle Jacob Rogers – fell mostly on deaf ears since the second-round draft pick didn’t log a single play on offense his rookie season. The term "bust" was even tossed around.

But during Saturday’s scrimmage, Rogers was the guy playing right tackle with the first-team offense. And with his main competition, Torrin Tucker, getting manhandled by a free-agent rookie defensive end/tackle, Rogers appears to be closing in on the starting job.

Coach Bill Parcells has described Rogers as a highly intelligent player who simply needed some confidence. Last year, he never figured out how to make the transition from left to right tackle.

Now, he's looking more comfortable at the position every practice. According to Parcells, right guard Marco Rivera has made an immediate impact on young players such as Rogers, guard Stephen Peterman and center Al Johnson.

Asked about Rogers after Saturday’s scrimmage, Jones said that he thinks the coaching staff is gaining confidence in him. And that’s good news for an already improved offensive line

Free-agent rookie shines: The most valuable defensive player of Saturday's scrimmage may have been one of the least known. Defensive tackle/end Thomas Johnson, whom Parcells has taken to calling "Pepper" after the former Giants linebacker, Pepper Johnson, had four sacks in the scrimmage.

He even sacked quarterback Drew Henson on back-to-back plays, blowing by right tackle Torrin Tucker each time. Johnson said he's more comfortable playing defensive tackle, but he's had to move to left defensive end since rookie Marcus Spears went down with a knee injury in Friday’s practice.

All I could find on this kid is that he is 6'2" and 294 lbs.

I think DE is new to him because every mention of him is as a DT.

Petitti played today. He looked uncomfortable and was getting handled (plus he was fidgeting a lot and could have been called for offsides all day). Overall, I don't think you can judge him too much after today, it was evident he couldn't move and has not recovered.

He was on the Left side today.
