I would love to see Lee, Hitchens and McClain playing together (probably the best linebacker trio in football), but, do you think this happens?

Not sure but I find it ironic that he actually may have a legitimate reason to retire this time.

I think he's back next year. We will have a solid LB corp if those three guys can somehow someway stay healthy

Do we honestly think that the walking wounded LB corp can stay healthy a full year?

I don't even say that sarcastically.

I think he will be back....what I would pay him to come back is a completely different story though. Very, very little guaranteed $ for him up front and a whole bunch of incentives. If he doesn't like it he can play somewhere else. We need LB's that can actually stay on the field. Never thought I'd actually say this, but I hope Carter is back.

I'm hoping McClain just ran out of gas due to being out of football. He softened up quite a bit towards the end of the season

Was it two separate injuries, or just a continuation of the 1st one?

I do think the Cowboys have to consider other options at LB than McClain and Durant. We already know that Lee is a high probability to get injured again. Do they need two other oft injured LBs also?

A 4-3 LB is not the hardest thing to find in free agency.

He absolutely comes back. It may have been the same concussion and we rushed him back, plus he had a nasty flu and his house burned down . His head was messed up in more than one way.

It's a different time, a safer time but I expect him 100% for camp signed long term.

I think he will be back, and will be fine. Coming back after al that time off of football, his body wasn't ready possibly. I think his mindset is.
Give him an off season to get his body in better shape. As for the head injuries in 2 consecutive games, that happens often it seems.

Lee, is another story, but as I said in another pot, it took Murray to this point and stayed healthy, other than the broken hand, but played all 18 games. May 2015 will be Lee's year too.
With the emergence of Hitchens, and if Durant returns, and I wouldn't be opposed to bring Carter back. Their are 2 guys for depth right there.

C. Lawrence and even Wilber can be replaced in the draft or via FA. But I would be ok with Wilber too.

I think he's back. He had 'concussion like symptoms.' The NFL has a strict protocol to follow whenever there is an injury. Unless this is more severe, then I think he's back no problem.

I have no idea about RO. He absolutely saved us in the first few games. Things got weird after that unfortunate house fire incident and then the injury bug.
He seems to like it here. I think we will find out a lot about this teams plans for him in the next few weeks

Thing is that he was practically out of football for a couple of years
He might be fine next year with a full off season program and more mentally and physically prepared

Plus we need him :)

Would that a full off-season program make him less susceptible to concussions?

Yes :D

But seriously, concussions may have something to do with technique, tackling, which likely has to do with fatigue and conditioning towards the end of the year as his body broke down not being used to the rigor for almost 2 years

Plus, like I said, the cowboys need him so we don't create another hole and a LB corps of Ro, lee and carter/Hitchens/durant could be truly great so I will hold out hope until I hear from him or the team that he is retiring

More of a Sean Lee thing but I don't think we had one LB on the team this year that did not miss some time with injury....Could be wrong on that but not far off.
