Owens has yet to win anything in the NFL. Irvin was a key component in 3 SB Championships.

I'd take Michael any day over Owens.

Gotta be honest and go with TO. He's a better receiver.

Obviously Irvin was the better receiver and Owens clearly the better runner after the catch.

Answer to this question is Irvin.

I'd take Irvin over T.O. every time. Stats don't tell the whole story. Irvin played with Emmitt, T.O. played in pass friendly offenses his entire career.

88 without a doubt in my mind. Biggest thing for a reciever to do is catch the ball, and that is why I say 88.

I really can't decide. but to the people who said Irvin: if in 4 years T.O. has a superbowl ring or 2 to add to his stats, would you still say Irvin?

It's not simply that his hands were better, his routes were more precise, he always came up with the ball when it was up for grabs, he was the more physical player never shying away from contact, he had better body control/coordination, and his leadership was unmatched on the team.

The only advantage Owens holds over Irvin is his ability to explode away from defenders once he catches the ball. Owens is still very good in all areas where Irivn bests him, and I'm not anti T.O.-- It's just that Irvin was just better in most facets of the position.

TO is more talented, but Irvin was the better wr. The only wr better than Irvin imo, is Jerry Rice.

TO has dropped so many passes. I can't even think to compare
these two guys on any level.Owens is really exciting and he's quick
but hands down Irvin made those plays.

If you had a 3rd and 20 and absolutely needed a 21 yard route and Aikman wound up his fastball, it has to be only Irvin. It seemed the harder you threw it the easier the catch looked when he caught it.

Irvin always dropped one easy one BUt always made up for it ....In my Mind Ill take the Playmaker everyday and twice on Sunday. ( No disrespect to T.O , ) Irvin's Heart and Soul was all DALLAS COWBOYS as well.
