Who would you play at FS against Philly?

Davis? a man out of position, who has to be considered a veteran player now who has pretty much maxed out on how much he could acutally improve at this position.

Watkins? I guy who got KILLED against philly last time around and who may or may not have learned to play the position well enough in the most important game of the year for us.

Parrish? A guy who has not played FS in several years and we have not yet seen play in our system.

BTW, I'm sure someone wants to say A Glenn but I'm pretty sure BP says that he would not do that.

Anybody but Davis. Maybe Watkins who played pretty decently and a chance at vindication. Maybe a joint effort between Watkins and Parrish.

that seems more like a playoffs plan than a right now plan

Agree.....Not sure he could learn the position in 6 days. That would be pushing your luck. ;)

I believe that Parrish was actually the starter for SF in the 1st 3 weeks of this year.

Does anyone remember who we were going to bring in for the playoffs last year if we had made it? Answer Darren Woodson. Wonder if they will kick that around again

Yep, I just looked...Parrish DID play this year and in fact played in most all of their games this year prior to being released.

depends. probably KD on short yardage and obvious running downs. Watkins on pass/run plays and nate jones in long yardage/obvious pass plays.

I just go with Watkins unless he is stinking the joint up. He made a really good touchdown saving (for one play at least) tackle and had an interception in his last game. Let's see if he's getting it together or not.

I'm so anxious to see someone develop enough to permanently cast Davis as a ST'er and backup strong safety. It's a travesty we are still relying on him at the FS postition. We keep trying to replace him, but he keeps dodging bullets.....er, bad analogy there.

I'd let the kiddo get another shot at Philly. Watkins has the most upside and it would be nice to see how he responds in a rematch. If he is ever to develop into a permanent starter, adjustment would be a significant part of that process.

I expect kids to make mistakes, and lots of them. How they respond is what's most telling.

Watkins, try out some Parrish.

What he said. I would like to see what we have in Parrish... I mean come on... even if he gives up a big play... we will get to see something... the big play is gonna be given up anyways.
