NO trades. Just straight up selecting a player that is available. Use the ratings of all the prospects to determine if the player is available. Example we draft 28 in round one so you can't choose the 25th rated prospect, it has to be 28 or later (can't wait to see who can't follow the rules).

Here is the list to choose from:

28. Charles Harris DE
60. Ahkello Witherspoon CB
92. David Sharpe OT
133. Rasul Douglas CB
211. Jerod Evans QB
228. Samson Ebukam DE/OLB
246. Hardy Nickerson ILB

1/28. T.J. Watt , DE, Wisconsin
2/60. Teez Tabor, CB, Florida
3/92. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
4/133. D'Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
6/211. Brandon Wilson, CB, Houston
7/228. Montae Nicholson, SS, Michigan St.
7/246. Devonte Fields, DE, Lousiville

Targeted a DE in the first round. Had a tough choice between Watt, Harris, McKinley, and Bowser. If it really happens that way I hope the Boys like all of those guys and trade down for more picks. Went with Watt purely off pedigree and heart.

I really want JuJu and I think this team does too.

People are not sold on Foreman but he reminds me of a Brandon Jacobs-lite or even Marion Barber. I'd love to have a power runner to add to this running game. Let Foreman come in for a few series and beat up the defenders while Zeke gets a breather.

1/28. Tyus Bowser, OLB, Houston
2/60. Jordan Willis, DE, Kansas St.
3/92. Shaquill Griffin, CB, UCF
4/133. Xavier Woods, SS, Louisiana Tech
6/211. Brendan Langley, CB, Lamar
7/228. Avery Moss, DE, Youngstown St.
7/246. Harvey Langi, ILB, BYU

I like the aggressive approach with the pass rush, between Bowser and Willis we should be able to at least get one guy who can get after the passer. I'll be surprised if we spend both of our first two picks on pass rushers, but I would wholeheartedly support it.

We could change the identity of the defense if we draft pass rush with the first 2 picks, and actually hit on both.

Draft a Bowser / Watt / Harris in the first. Then draft Willis in the 2nd. Add that to David Irving, Maliek Collins, Mayowa,healthy DLaw, healthy Tapper, and this team would be looking good on dline. Then whatever we can get from Tyrone Crawford/ Stephen Paea would be a bonus. And lets not even mention Randy Gregory unless we can get weed legalized.

I know it isn't likely but if we could someone pull off a Watt/Bowser combo in the first two rounds, I'd be flying high. I don't like Willis as much as those two, but I do think Willis is more likely to make it to 60.

I actually won't be surprised if Bowser and Watt come off the board before we pick because I think teams are going to value their measurables plus production more than draft gurus do. I think draft gurus downgrade them because of size, giving the edge to more prototypically sized ends who don't possess the same movement skills.

Would be amazing. But its more likely they are both gone by the time we pick at 28. That would probably leave us picking between Harris, injured McKinley or going with a DB

Three DE's? Bowser is not gonna be a 4-3 LB.
I think he might just be a slb. He has excellent coverage skills and 4.5 speed. Actually I would prefer having him as a slb and blitzing him with his measurables

I actually think bowser will be there in the second and there is a chance he would still be there when we pick. I think some of these players get way overhyped off of their combine numbers and that scouts don't get overly excited like they would 10 years ago. Go watch film on obi the safety and watch how long it takes him to diagnose a play. He runs an extra 2 tenths of a sec faster then every other safety and can jump out of the building but it takes him an extra second or two to break down the play. Overhyped.

I think Bowser is going to rise into the first because his athletic ability shows up on tape. There will be some players, though, that everyone expects to go in the first who will fall into the second. It seems to me that a lot of the draft gurus use each other to decide who the top prospects are, which is why we end up with those first-rounders who fall to the second or third and second-rounders who fall into the later rounds.

That being said, Barnett would be my choice if he's there because I think he's the most proven of the athletic defensive ends. Watt would probably be second, although I could live with either him or Bowser. That's other than Garrett, of course.

I'm not sold on some of these players who got most of their sacks because they were schemed to go unblocked or these prototypical ends sizewise who don't have the burst and bend needed to beat NFL tackles.

That would be a positive about drafting him. I think he'll succeed at RDE, but he can be a quality SLB if that doesn't work out. He and Watt both have that position flex, and might could play linebacker on run downs and slide to end on passing downs.

I go back and forth on McDowell and thou his at 23 on CBS board thats close enough. There is a fair chance for him to fall.
I have read some apologist for Malik talking about the bad season Michigan had and that the year before Malik was a more dedicated player.
@28 M McDowell
@60 Taylor Moton
@92 Justin Evans
@124 Rasul Douglas
60 was a struggle but Moton I liked vs. others but it through off the list of needs.
I like Evans and Dougles is OK

I know Bowser won't be a LB in our scheme, but it's the position CBS has him so I didn't change it.

If Moss is still there in the 7th, I'd grab him and let him compete with Moore.
