It's funny to me how each week, a team that has a great week is "the best team in the NFL" and "going to the Super Bowl". The Saints slaughtered us at their stadium and they were "the best team in the NFL". They get beat badly tonight and now they're no longer the team to beat. Seattle had to go to overtime to beat a bad Tampa Bay team "at their stadium where they never lose" just three weeks ago. Before that, they had to go to overtime to beat a really bad Houston team. Now they are the "best team in the NFL"

Seattle is a really good team, definitely one of the top tier in the NFL, but they are better against some defensive schemes than others. They beat Ryan's 3-4 defense soundly last year when he was with us and this year with the Saints.

The bottom line is that some teams match up well against some defenses and not others. It's not always about who has the better teams, but the good and bad match-ups and where the games are played. The Saints are average at best away from New Orleans. Seattle plays above average on the road but are still a much better team at home.

The Cowboys have played better overall lately, but they are not equipped to go to New Orleans or Seattle and beat those teams. It does not mean they can't of course because they are good enough to win games as long as they play their best and their opponents have an off game. As they say, it's one game and you never know how it will work out.

Fans along with the "experts" overreact to the point where I am almost annoyed.

It don't take much football knowledge. Just a pair of eyes that are not colored. Dallas got destroyed by the same team that is getting DX'ed tonight. It seems that the Cowboys have a few tiers to surmount before they start thinking about hardware that gleams.

Then you should start making some bucks with your two eyes, bud.

DX'd- lol. I dug that. Good show.

Send me a pic of the receipt of the money you put down on it and we can talk.
Or you're as weak as any other blow-hard. Win or not.

I would but I really don't bet. Never ever did it. I truly believe we will win against this Seattle team at home. :)

No. You can't. Turn the sound off and blast the Stones and the Doors for a better viewing experience.

I'll pass on the Stones, the Doors I can work with a little. I just wish Russell Wilson was 6'3" and I wouldn't get beat down by useless height talk, he's 5'11, not 4'11"

What happen to Ryan's great defense or the unstoppable Graham and Brees?

I hope Carolina gets another shot at Seattle provided they don't have to go through Dallas.

As a fellow fan (of a different team, but still a fellow fan) I truly respect that.

I withdraw my last statement to you seeing that you said it as "a fan".

I wish more guys on here were like that.

Fans, rather than know-it-all's. Not blind faith, but real fandom. Hope and all that rot...

What are you actually saying again? The Saints have one of the best road records over the Sean Payton era. I hear it ad nauseum on WWL-870 every friggin day. Seattle dispatched the Saints with one dangerous player on the sideline in Percy Harvin. There was a ton of talking done down in New Orleans all week. Well tonight they had a chance to cash the check and it was "quickly" returned non sufficient! If they are not the best team in the NFL then enthrall us with your accumen on who the hell is.

I like looking at Katy Perry... So I can't complain and I love every band you mentioned.

I used to dig talk-radio, now it just makes me angry.

And when I get angry, I mobilize- much to the chagrin of my woman so I've eased off the gas pedal for our sakes.

Good to know. Thank you.

Seattle very well may be the best team, especially if the road to the SB goes through there. If this game tonight was in NO, it would probably be a different outcome. Not saying NO wins like Seattle did, might even have lost but don't judge NO on one game, they are good.

I don't think any team beats Seattle tonight, they played that good. But, it is too early to crown them IMO. Fortunately for them, they should have home-field.

I don't think NO wins or even goes to the Super Bowl now. They don't play well outdoors in cold weather. If the road went through NO, they would probably make it.

I still find myself listening to George Noory's Coast 2 Coast on the late-night AM stations from time to time.

Especially when he has the call-in free-for-all.

That stuff cracks me up sometimes.

Yeah, I listen to Battlecross and Lorde.;)

Just kidding, I have all of Katy Perry's CD's. I'm also a big fan of Lana Del Rey, who is saluting you over to your left.

I think home-field for them is more important that it would be for any other team.

This has been a fun thread tonight. Not just football but also Kary Perry and Led Zeppelin. And my wife asks me why I like reading Cowboyszone. This is why :)
