Had to post this for the Stephen quote.

    http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2...nsatory-picks-“big-deal”-cowboys’-draft-plans

"I love it that we got four picks because we’ve done a good job with our draft picks,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said from the NFL Scouting Combine. “They’re not only picks, they’re good picks, and we should be able to optimize that and put some real depth on this football team."

"Obviously in those first three or four rounds, you’re expecting to find starters as well. To have 10 draft picks is a big deal.”

Heck yeah it's a big deal. You see how awesome we are with our draft picks? Now imagine giving us more.

What good are draft picks when you have a coaching staff that doesn’t know how to use them....:muttley:

Use draft picks to move up, I don't want us to draft the Joey iveys of the world anymore, I call them no hopers.

We have done a reasonably good job of drafting lately, imo. Biggest problem still remains coaching and outdated scheme. Last year's d-backs came on strong despite coaching. Surely we'll hit on a few good players this year.

Sure we have. I'm not sure what all of these comments are about.
Complain about being inactive in the FA market, or the coaching, or some of the pay on the field....but relatively speaking, this team has drafted well over the past few years.
    So stinkers too, btw.

Stephen seems to show optimism with the picks. I trust Will McClay more than anyone in the organization at this moment in time. I think they can get some talent with those picks considering how loading up on draft picks has benefited the Cowboys in the early 90’s.

We have an extra 4th, two 5ths and a 6th.

Picks that typically end up being busts if you play the averages.

Hardly something to get a woody over like Stephen is.

Only on Cz will undercover Eagirls fans try and convince you that having a extra 4th and 2 5th rounders is a bad thing lol.

Yeah but those averages increase with more opportunities in those rounds.

whether you are someone who believes the Cowboys draft well or not, I find it hard to be upset about more picks.

The more picks the Cowboys have means the more chances they have on finding contributors.

I don't understand that line of thinking. Hard to judge a guy based on a position he hasn't held yet. I can't judge anyone accurately in this organization until Jerry relinquishes his title.
