Why Am I Excited?

Well here are some reasons:

Dallas held the best RB in the game to only 72 yards. LT was pretty much a non-factor after SD's first TD drive.

Crayton is a playmaker and proved it in a real game. 6 Rec. 89 yards and a TD, not bad for a 7th round pick eh? He is a lot more impressive than his stats indicate. He caught everything thrown to him and fought hard for the YAC. He is a tough kid who I think will be really special to this team for years to come.

Keyshawn showed he can still come through BIG in a game. He may not have blazing speed but he gets open and fights hard for the catch. His 2nd TD was really a clutch catch. He knew the ball was coming to him and gave us the lead late in the game.

Julius Jones not only has moves, but he runs with authority and power. Every time he carries the ball I'm on the edge of my seat because I know he can take it to the house from anywhere on the field. He also got involved in the passing game yesterday which I loved.

Drew Bledsoe can still make all the throws. He is a true leader out there. For the first time since Aikman, I have confidence our QB can make clutch throws and win games for us. I always thought that unphased look on his face was just because he was stupid, I was wrong. He looked confident and calm when a big play was on the line, I noticed this on a number of occasions when they showed his face in the huddle. Bledsoe does scare me sometimes when he stands in the pocket too long, but he really stepped up yesterday when the O-Line gave him time.

This group of WR's is going to be dangerous. I can really see us running some 4WR sets with Keyshawn, Glenn, Crayton and Price. If Bledsoe has time to throw the ball LOOK OUT. I don't think WR is our priority in the draft next year, OL is.

Anthony Henry, 5 pass deflections and an interception. Enough said.

The rookies played pretty well as a group.

Although we gave up 24 points, our defense really stepped up when necessary.

Our offense scored 28 points.

What needs to be fixed:

OL mental errors, I'm not too worried because this was Pettiti's first real game. I think Pettiti was a real solid pick for us and is more than capable of playing RT. He is really tough and shows improvement every game.

Keith Davis charging the line when Brees scrambled, leaving McCardell wide open in the endzone. Again, this is his first real game so I'm not too worried.

All I can say after this game is HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!

I didn't get a real answer yet. I think the market I am in (NY Metro area) is the only market that will show the whole Giants/Saints game. That means I will miss the first half of the Boys and the ROH inductions. :banghead:

If you are a Dallas Cowboys fan, and beating a division winner, at their field doesn't excite you , why be a fan ?

The Chargers have a good team, with many good players and a good coach.

Like I said, if you weren't fired up, if you weren't excited when this game was over, you won't be very often.

Exactly, Road victory over a division winner, coming from behind and overcoming mistaks and we still pull off the win. Yeah that is enough reason to be excited about the prospect of this team. It has been a while since this team has been able to overcome when things start going aginst them.

True WV......i had this game down as one of the tougher ones on the cowboys schedule. Certainly didnt think they were going walk all over the chargers in their own stadium. Im real happy we got a win here, this is one game i had going either way.

I was picking the Boys to go 11-5 and maybe 12-4 IF we one 2 of the games i considered "bubble games" ones that could go either way, ones that we would have to fight real hard for a chance to win at the end. The other game like that is the Raiders.

Two things I was most pleased to see were, one, third down efficiency, something like 7 of 11. (and there were some long third downs).

Second, last year the score of this game would have been 24 to 12, San Diego. Four trips in the red zone, four touchdowns, impressive.
