Why are people complaining and blaming the D

But they did make a stop and only gave up 1 TD in the 2nd half. Offense could produce but 1 TD and 4 FGs.....1 TD instead of FG we have a win

But I'm saying the Giants weren't trying to score a TD down that last stretch. They were playing for clock and largely did just what they wanted.

They held the to 20 pts. If you told me that before the game I'd take it. The ones complaining are some of the same ones who would've laughed if someone said we would hold them to 20 pts yet they are still complaining.

If blame goes anywhere it should go on the wr's. Too many drops. Someone will watch the all 22 and post but we didn't stretch the field but I don't know if that was on Dak, the play calling or the Giants D just doing a good job at taking it away.

Overall not a horrible game. All the doom and gloom is quite ammusing.

same problem as last year. This defense doesn't know how to close out a game. Its to the point that everyone knows opposing offense will score at end...we just want it to happen quickly so Dallas offense can get back on field and snipe a victory at end.

The defense played better in the second half but when the game was on the line and we had the lead we couldn't keep them out of the end zone. What else is new! Holding the Giants to a FG with just over 6 minutes to play instead of allowing a TD would have left us with a 3 point lead and the ball instead of having to play from behind.

They botched the game on the drive before the half. They were awful just awful on that drive.

I would love to know whose idea it was to rotate safeties today? Taking byron jones off the field for a whole drive right before the half was about as dumb as i have seen from this team in years. Are we trying to develop Barry Church? is jones tired from the 12 plays he had to play?

I would find the guy who wanted to rotate safeties and fire him. I imagine its marinelli and his keeping guys fresh nonsense.

No pressure and that may the worst OL we play this year.

maybe, but the giants recorded zero sacks while the 'Boys defense registered two. and a pick. that is an improvement over last year. my beef is with the offense

Because the Giants OL is in terrible shape. How about that? Our sorry *** DL made the GMEN dline look like pro bowlers. How about that?

Did you even watch the game? When the NYG rammed the ball down our throat when the whole world knew they were running it and we used all our TOs....... the points are only relevent to how many we had and we had 19.......not good enough

After an 11 yard run that almost became a first down for Giants.
But it didn't become a first down did it. The whipping boy that all yall love to hate, Wilcox, made the save huh. Instead of giving Wilcox props yall want to say almost gave up a first

We win this game if TWill gets out of bounds. We win this game if Dez comes down with one of the four targets he had that he didn't come up with. We win this game if Zeke gets untracked early on. We win this game if Beasley plays slightly better, which is his normal level of play.

None of those four play defense. The defense wasn't good, but it was good enough to win if the offense executes.
You cannot run this defense with this personnel. This is what makes me so upset about Garrett. He's been given a blank check to spend money and high draft picks on offense while Marinelli is left with scrubs, yet his offense continues to struggle without Romo. 1-14 without Romo. How could this be when Garrett is the 5th most tenured HC in the NFL? How could this be when the Vikings won with Shaun Hill on the road today? It's mind numbing what Jerry sees in this man.

Until they got stopped and had to punt it back to Dallas with over a minute to get in field goal range. Defense did their job, got off the field. Our recievers had multiple drops, OL gave up pressure and we had guys not knowing when to get out of bounds. Defense played well enough to win

The defense only gave up 20 pts bc the Giants didn't need to score more than 20...you have to be incredibly blind to think the D would have stopped the Giants had the Giants needed to get points on their last drive...

Using the 20 pt argument shows how clueless you are...the defense was terrible

You're joking right? Eli had a year and a day to pass. When they needed to run they ran at will. Watch the game.

I don't agree with you a lot but this is accurate. Marinelli with talent in Chicago was arguably the best defense in the league year after year, but we still hamstring him by giving him guys like mayowa and Irving, who's be fine as depth, bit would not be anywhere near starting on a top caliber defense.

That's really the only reason I'm still bitter about turning down a reasonably priced Williams and Ayers and possibly letting Church go for an upgrade at safety. I think Williams could have been Marinellis Julius Peppers.

A Williams/Lawrence and possibly Gregory rotation at end would make significantly improve our line. But as it stands, we might be expecting a miracle with just Lawrence for sure coming back.

To me, there's a few positions you shouldn't even feel bad about spending on. One of those is a pass rushing end who is above average in run D.

the D did not do their job......they gave up 3 first downs and wasted all the TOs and clock on draw plays

They got giants off the field and the ball back to our offense with over a minute to go to get in field goal range. Hate how you want but they did their job. Offense can't get 4 FGs when 1st and goal multiple times. Offense not getting out of bounds or running little short routes instead of pushing the ball down the field. Defense gave up 20 points to giants and only 1 TD in the 2nd half.

Despite what happened in the half we had a 6 point lead with just over 6 minutes to play and had we held the Giants to FG we would have had a 3 point lead and the ball. We could have milked the clock and it would have taken a TD on a last ditch drive to beat us in regulation.

Yes I understand but the giants gained their confidence on that drive. Then on defense after la el collins go the hold in the third quarter they just put their ears back. they got some momentum and we never got any back.

They beat us the exact way we were supposed to beat them and they hardly ever had the ball.

Yep watched the whole game. Seen our d keep it with in 7 the whole game. Seen our offense fail multiple times at putting up 7 instead of 3. Seen wr's with multiple drops. Seen our #1 pick do very little. At the end of the game that horrible d gave up 20 pts. If our offense can't put up more than 19 the d isn't the issue.

The D isn't good, but we know the type of talent we have on that side of the ball & I thought they did enough to win the game. Dez drops TD, Beasley drops ball at the 1.. Defense forced 5 punts, getting INT to set up the only TD. We had plenty of chances to make this a 2 score game & Garrett/Linehan failed to put Dak in position to win.
I agree, defense did good enough to win, the main thing was at end, I knew giants would just run, and I have to blame marinelli for not
using a run defense, he was still looking for the pass.
