Why are so many acting like 2015 did not happen

Mediocrity (Jones as GM) surrounds itself with mediocrity (Garrett as HC) out of insecurity and egoism. Different coaches, same result, because the problem lies with the man at the helm of the entire organization.

What’s the definition of insanity? We are on what? Year 7?

The only thing that’s been consistent is inconsistency

Totally agree that money and glitz have superseded championships around here. Spent the first half of my life basking in the glory of Cowboys football and now spending the second half wallowing in its misery. Am yet still as committed a fan as ever. Lol. Go figure!?! Perhaps I’m part of the problem?!!
we all are. I have gone on a tour of the new stadium. But have yet to go to one game at the stadium. You don't have to win the Super Bowl to please me as a fan. My only requirement was for the organization to start operating like a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL organization. I was close to being convinced we were heading in that direction....until they wanted Will McClay to have everything a GM should have EXCEPT the title...and I knew then not much has changed. And everyone that thinks Stephen taking over will change things....are going to be in for a big surprise. I used to think the same way...but over time...his fathers influence has sullied him. He has a radio show. And I think he will be giving out injury reports...working players out before the game to determine their readiness....and crashing the sidelines when a game is hanging in the balance....so he can look into their eyes and determine who really "wants it". I wish this were speculation...but Jerry has done ALL of this.

Coaching is a huge issue for our team. Our coaches think the Cowboys are good enough to dictate these games(they are not). We don't prepare for our opponents like a well coached team should. I will use New England as the prime example. NE prepares for their opponent and attacks their weakness with great results. They work on plays that expose their opponents faults.
Our staff simply plugs in the same game plan week to week regardless of the opponent. When it doesn't work we don't adjust well. Hard to make adjustments when you don't prepare for them ahead of time. Do we even have a plan B or plan C prior to the game? Sick of this crap.

This is a fairly accurate, totally depressing thread. The staff does deserve some credit though for handling a rookie qb and player development. Unfortunately game planning is gawd awful only surpassed by game management / in game adjustments.

Garrett and this whole staff should have been fired after 2015. Wade was axed in the middle of the season in 2010. He didn't get to fall back on the injury excuse when Romo went down for the year. Wade was coming off a playoff win the season before and so did Garrett. 2010 and 2015 were the same exact seasons in terms of how they played out. Except Jerry's pet coach survived and Wade, an outsider, did not. I think Wade is 10x the coach that Garrett is and that is saying something because I don't think Wade is head coach material and is a much better coordinator. I would not want Garrett even as my quality control assistant. He is so worthless and does zero of value. I despise him more than any coach for any team I've ever rooted for, even Gailey and Campo. Those guys were given no talent to work with at all.

Doesn't work that way. 10 year book on him. He ain't surprising anybody. He would need 53 studs to go uninjured for 16+ games to pull off the big one. NFL does not work that way.

Even in that scenario, he would find a way to lose in the divisional round. Heck, the only reason he even won the lone playoff game he did against Detroit is because they went brain dead and melted down at the end of the game.
