Why Can't Dallas Run Inside?

Is it the guard/center play? I know Martin and Tyron are in the top 5 of PFF's best graded o-linemen but why can't the run game seem to get going inside with any back? No holes? Is Martin playing as well as he usually does? Even when they had multiple extra o-linemen in and Williams at FB they still couldn't do squat. How much would moving Williams back to LG help?

Simple 5 guys can’t block 6. Until Dak shows he beat someone with his arm defenses will continue to play the run.

Teams know when we are going to run, mostly its alignment based. We can not just line up and beat the guy across from us anymore.

We have a star RB that should not be on the field and our center can’t seem to get it going. High snaps all day yesterday. They should be opening holes but I am wondering about our O-Line coach..
You must have missed the one that rolled to Dak

Like Romo said last week during the game with Pittsburgh.. It’s hard to run where all the big guys are. Run away from all the big guys. So simple but so right.

Dallas has a 1 legged RB cramming the ball between the tackles. What do you expect?

Pollard will be the guy that changes this offense if it happens.

Not Mr. Carry the load. Zeke runs like he’s Carrying a load of rocks because he isn’t carrying squat on offense.

I can’t believe the team is allowing him to hurt our offense and not get healthy but they are.

Crazy because he is the #1 QB against the blitz. They stack the line without blitzing though and he can’t find the open guy. And he is just now starting to use his legs. Was awkward yesterday but he started picking up yards with his legs again. A good sign.

Zeke lives inside your head…. :lmao:

Nope.

No excuse for inside Olinemen to not be able to create any holes or running lanes.

They don't fire out. Instead, they stand straight up, thus losing any leverage and getting stonewalled at the line of scrimmage or pushed back. It happens every single week. That falls on the Oline Coach. Philbin needs to go. Clearly, he is not making this Oline improve on their technique or run blocking whatsoever. Even in pass protection, they are standing straight up. Not good. No leverage, thus getting beat 1-on-1. We see the results. Kills our running attack and affects our passing.

Literally everyone has said they did not load the box yesterday...5 guys and the TE could not block 6 though you are right in that.

I am on the road so have not had the chance to watch the game back.. The blocking was about what it has been.. mediocre at best. As long as nearly all runs are plunges up the middle this team is going to struggle because they simply lack the power to move people and are not cohesive enough to prevent backside leakage to blow up our inside run plays. Teams have figured out the holes in our blocking schemes so until we adjust we're not running inside with any consistency.

Agreed and KM is on the hook for this, we can not run the ball behind Martin and Collins...that is not good.

Nate Newton is at the Star for the team and an analyst for the shows.
Jerry should go get him to get the OL fired up.

Nate and Michael Irvin should go inspire the team.

Our line is not very good....Zack is still a stud, the rest are not playing good right now....I don't know why....just happens some times..

I'd be more inclined to think it's Zeke's injury if Pollard was having any success. But he's not either unless it's an outside run. Clement and Hardy didn't have any luck yesterday either and looked even worse than injured Zeke. This same line was opening holes wider than Pappy's snatch earlier this season that almost any RB could run through.
