"If you have perused any mock drafts recently, you have likely seen an interesting trend at the end of the first round.
The Dallas Cowboys have overwhelmingly been tabbed to take Missouri defensive end Charles Harris.
Now, the interesting part is not that they took a defensive end, as that is the biggest need currently permeating Dallas’ roster. The compelling part is that Harris was the defensive end that they were projected to take.
The Missouri defensive end certainly has talent, it’s impossible to deny that, but does his talent warrant the premium pick it would take to get him?
Just like your least-favorite couple’s relationship status, the answer to that question is: it’s complicated.
The question is not just whether Harris has a skill set worthy of the 28th pick in a vacuum, it is how his skill set fits in with the Cowboys and how that translates in comparison with others who
could be there at the 28th overall pick."
