I don't think it's ever helpful to criticise your employees in public. Those are team issues that should be handled in private, and in a way designed not to embarrass or ridicule, but to challenge. These guys have to stay solid and believe in each other, support each other, go to war together.

The battle is tough enough without people in your own organization sniping at you from all angles.

They all had a kumbaya moment after beating the Falcons last week.

i agree somewhat to that, i am sure that jason has tried to get carr, tyrone, rolando to play better but as we have seen hasnt done any good, so something else needs to be done, i am thinking that jerry jones who pays the players needs to get in their faces, demand more,

They just got out-quarterbacked. This isn't about effort or realizing their situation.

I disagree. I think there is still the lingering effect of waiting for rescue.

TB will play like SB champs against us. Evans will catch everything in sight. It's a given. Play bad against our opponents, give them a win, play great against us, give us another loss.

I still blame the coaching and their attitude about TC.
Talk about Wade's camp cupcakes....well, this past TC, the box [players] were left on the shelf and not even opened. Once opened game one, it had weevils in the mix.

Yeah, I can see that. But that's natural. Had the schedule been reversed, they'd be in much better position probably. Needed Romo to take on those particular teams.

But nobody is crying for Dallas. They basically need to go 7-1 now because they damaged the tie-breaker by losing to Philly. Tall order.

One thing that holds true is not getting more playing time to players that are making plays. How long is it going to take to get Irving on the starting defensive line? The guy made plays after plays last night. So why does it always take an injury for a young guy to get his shot?

Yes. I'd like to know why our staff has been very slow to make these moves that are obvious.

This is not a new phenomena. Has been part of the culture for years. Hard to lose your job once you get a scholarship.

Love critical threads that actually criticize.

I agree with a lot of these. Specifically, I'd be taking snaps away from McClain if I could, and the ST coaching has not been good enough all year.

I'll hear this complaint every now and then, and then I'll hear the opposite, about how flexible Garrett is about playing players who deliver. Nate Newton was just saying this last week.

In Irving's case, the guy went from a bottom-roster addition to learning the defense and playing half the defensive snaps in rotation in, what, 4 weeks? I don't think it's fair to criticize the coaches for moving slowly on that one.

They've played Butler and Rod Smith on short notice this season, tool. Benched Leary for Collins. Or Wilcox for Jones. Or Patmon for White. They're not slow to make changes. What happens, I think, is fans see young players making plays and then wonder why they haven't seen it sooner. Or seen more of it.

I hardly think Butler, Smith and White are ripple moves that might get anyone's attention. Not even Collins or Jones for that matter since they were prized rookies. And no, Randle does not count since he had issues well above and beyond that made him sit and eventually get cut.

Benching a McClain would make that kind of statement but there are no options thanks to the injuries from the other night.

Were you complaining about people not losing their jobs, period? Or people not losing their jobs unless they're replaced by first round picks? Or valued college free agents? Or people not losing their jobs unless they weren't great players to start with? I guess I've just lost the thread of your argument somewhere.

If the actual argument is this team never replaces starters with players who aren't better for any reason, then I suppose I'd have to agree with you. I'll just marinate in the profundity of that for a little bit over here. Good stuff.

It seems like that "Players Only" meeting worked wonders. It seemed to get this team back on track!

This is on coaching.
Anytime, you take the same roster that went 12-4, add new talent and can't win ONE game out of seven without your starting quarterback.
That's ALL coaching.
