You wear that stat like a badge of honor and throw away all the good things

This team was 13-3 two years ago and had a bye...they got beat by a crafty vet QB that made a couple miracle plays....but that has freakall to do with the Campo years

This team as built can win the Super Bowl with these coaches.......it wouldn't be a miracle

Repeating the same made up stat makes you look like the Eagles fan that you are

Actually it would pretty much be a miracle if Garrett won a SB. He’d be the only SB winning coach in history other than Landry to win a SB without at least having coached in a Conference Title game in his first five years on the job.

So yeah, if this coaching staff won a SB it would be a massive outlier.

Further trying to dismiss the ineptitude of 3 playoff wins in 22 seasons by saying, hey, we went 13-3 two years ago is laughable. But predictable from a homer.

And lastly, you know you have nothing when you drum up the old you must be an eagles fan because you aren’t being a good enough Cowboys fan. You basically just signaled to most of us you really don’t have much to refute the reality that Jones has not been very good as the GM of his club since he’s taken full reigns.

Saying that a team that had 13 regular season wins should have produced in the playoffs, is not being a homer...perhaps being more realistic, than possible blind disappointment.

The homer is the guy who ignores the fact we have been inept in the postseason for two decades but thinks that’s OK because we went 13-3 two years ago and that shows Jerry knows what he’s doing.

Did the scouting dept have anything to do with that poor selection of free agents last season? We got 0 return on our investment.

Yeah but "give me credit" anyway lol

We have a horrible FO
But let's give em credit

Jerry and his boys all played College Football....... Jerry won a National Title...they all know the sport

They have owned the team for 3 decades and have 3 Super Bowl titles and have built a 5billion franchise.....they all know the business

The Joneses are a gigantic success story

Let me try an simplify it

Someone you love abd care for is in an accident and needs surgery. Are you letting the anybody operate on them or do you want the best surgeon? Do you think outcomes of all surgeons are the same?

"Being around" something is a complete crock. Even trained people have grades and some are way way better than others

Jerry and Stephen have proven that all they can build is a monument to abiding mediocrity

Open your eyes

What make?

A Trabant** but like jeri he thinks he's a Maserati

**TRABANT 1958-1990

In the same way that a ghetto childhood can help a boxer become heavyweight champion of the world, the Trabant's East German background gives it a clear advantage in its bid for the Worst Car of All Time title. The now-fallen communist state provided ideal conditions for the creation of a truly awful vehicle: a demoralized labour force, incompetently-run factories, and a iron-fisted political system that crushed innovation. Trabants were powered by smoke-belching two-stroke engines, and the bodies were constructed of compressed cardboard coated with plastic resin. Reliability was terrible, and the gearshift mechanism is generally agreed upon as one of the worst ever invented. None of these problems quenched demand. In East Germany, the Trabant was the only car available, and the waiting list was typically ten years long. The Trabant went out of production in 1990. The fall of the Berlin Wall removed the Trabant's key feature - a monopoly position.

Of course you do, because Otherwise your narrative gets discredited. You act like qbs grow on trees, the great Jimmy had Aikman fall in his lap, who he later tried to replace with Steve Walsh(glad we dodged that bullet). The great BP brought in a washed up Bledsoe, 41 year old Vinny, and Drew Henson and these were suppose to be good talent evaluators.
As far d-backs, I like to see your proof of them being the worst in the NFL, or are you just making ish up.?
Walsh was perceived as a "franchise" qb. Jimmy didn't think so but knew others did. Ergo, he took Walsh with the idea of trading him. He got a #1,2, and 3 for Walsh. A very astute move. As for parcells, he knew he didn't have a great qb, but NFL rules don't allow tampering. What is he supposed to do?

The fact he had 3 playoff wins in the last two decades probably would indicate to any sane fan he’s had more screw ups than your typical good GM.

No he hasn't he's had no more than most GM's. Also, how many of them have 3 rings?

But he is the magical Jimmy Johnson....... he created the Cowboys out of thin air

he should have done much better than 9-7 every year with MIA........36-28

Without Jerry he was Just a Coach........ Wannstedt had 41 Wins the next 4 years without Dan Marino
I would expect no less. He was mentored by Jimmy.

I said most “good” GMs.

Thankfully for Jones there are worse GMs out there during the last two decades.

And how many rings has he won in the last 22 years when he’s been running the show solely without a team that’s Johnson helped build?

I mean are you really trying to argue that since our last SB in 1995, this team has been well run?

No he didn't, that was Jimmy saving face, even Aikman said it drove a wedge between the two that took a few years to repair. He traded Walsh because he knew he couldn't beat out Troy.

Jimmy saw no need to keep aikman informed of gm decisions. They were beyond troy's purview. Jimmy made a brilliant move, troy became a great qb. They all lived happily ever after.

He did not pick Walsh to trade him, if he did , there was no reason to debate it with Jones which also says he didn't make the trade himself. My bet is Jones was the one who wanted to trade Walsh, since Jimmy was Walsh's former qb.

NEW YORK — Dallas quarterback Steve Walsh, who has been Troy Aikman's backup since both were drafted last year, was traded to New Orleans today for three draft picks.

The Cowboys' owner, Jerry Jones, said his team will receive the Saints' No. 1 and No. 3 choices in 1991 and a No. 2 pick in 1992. Jones said the No. 2 pick could be upgraded to a No. 1 if Walsh performs well for the Saints.

Walsh, who started five games last season when Aikman was injured, will compete for the starting job in New Orleans with John Fourcade, who has been erratic in the Saints' first three games.

The deal was concluded at NFL headquarters just before a meeting of league owners.

Cowboys Coach Jimmy Johnson said he and Jones debated until late last night whether to trade Walsh.

But, Johnson said, Aikman "is the best quarterback in the NFL, as far as I'm concerned, and will be the best for the long haul."

3 rings is 3 rings, no matter who helped build what or how long ago. Jimmy didn't do it himself. How many Gms have 3?

Who said Jimmy did it all himself?

And I’ll ask again. Do you think the Cowboys have been well run since our last SB in 1995?

It’s a simple question.

We had the 1st overall and wasted it on Walsh in the Supplemental Draft

We could have drafted HoFers Cortez Kennedy or Junior Seau instead

getting those picks back from NO was not equal value

and then the draft guru traded several picks and players to move up and get Rocket Ismail....... but he signed with the CFL and we got stuck with Russell Maryland........OAK then got Ismail for a 6th round pick after 2 years
