just realized that.

Maybe he's not a team player? j/k

He and McQuistan would look like cousins. LOL
It's an O-line hazing tradition. He doesn't play OL.

Carpenter and all the Ohio State Linbackers grew their hair long in Honor of Pat Tillman. So guessing his teammates would respect that and not try or require him to get it cut.

Uh, if the LBs hazed each other with haircuts his hair would be cut, tribute or not.

if you just told 'em to FOAD, you're likely to cause them to not really support you or feel like you're not "one of them".

my alternative would be a $5k donation to a charity or other acts of community service. my hair would just be off limits.

in high school back in avery texas, they had their own freshman initiation and one part was to come to school dressed as a girl. i pretty much said "ain't gonna happen" and they said "if you don't, you don't get to make freshmen do it next year. i said "deal" and didn't care cause i moved a year later anyway.

Most see the hazing as fun. One year most of my HS team got mohawks. Some didn't. We didn't ostracize them.

99% of hazing is harmless and no one gets upset.

They didnt exactly "volunteer". You do it or five or six other 300 pound men hold you down and do it to you. Its generally considered to be not only the "team" binding solution but a safer one also.

I like the long hair. Makes him look a little mean, since in reality, he has a push over type baby face. So keep the long hair mr Carp.

I remember when they had "Hard Knocks" on HBO a few years back one of the lineman was balding and didn't want to have his head shaved, so they shaved his eyebrows instead. I think the player was Tyson Walter but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Would current law allow someone to sue Jerry for large sums of money for allowing a hostile work environment? If the player won would it go against the teams salary cap?

They did the same thing when I was in the Marine Corps. Got to my new barracks in Millington, TN and they called it 'Newbie Indoc'. (To add to the fun, not only did they shave your hair completely but they gave you a nice, feces-laden swirley.) I flat-out told them "No, nobody is doing that to me." They came for me anyway. I kicked groins, poked eyes, pulled ears and bit hard enough to draw blood...I was not shaved and swirlied. The rest of the barracks all thought I was a rotten Marine after that, though. Hey, screw them.

i live right by the Commanders training facilities.....

I made a bet in the locker room before a practice with the center on our team(huge skins fan all of them) this bet concerned the first game verse the skins this year it was monday afternoon.

The loser of the bet had to have his head shaved by another member of the team in the parking lot before practice.

well........ Safe to say i hate Aaron Glenn
but it did feel nice to have no hair the rest of the year (it was 5 inches long)

You know this might be the only year in a long time a OL might of even attempted to argue about the haircut.

Does anyone really think that if Larry Allen looked at you and Barked "You dam well are gettinga haircut son... hand me the shaver boys"

That any rookie wouldnt have just sat down right then.
