Why didn't the other teams do what we did?

Why didn't say the Giants or Jags or the other teams in front of us make the trade we did? Is it because the Browns wouldn't give up the second until they got scared the Chiefs were going to draft Quinn if he fell any more. Was it because the other teams didn't feel like it would be a good deal? I'm just wondering. We made a great deal, I'm just wondering why no other team pulled the trigger on it? Sorry if this has been discussed, I didn't see it anywhere.

Because they have more needs then Dallas did. The only glairing need for Dallas is a pass rush. Our defensive backs are good enough if the pass rush is good. The Giants need WRs, OL, and all kinds of defensive help. All Dallas really needs is pass rush help.

I have no idea, I guess Dallas felt more secure about their roster than the other team's picking behind them did

I was worried that Denver may deal the pick right before ours, but then they moved up to take Moss. I think the teams drafting before the Cowboys had needs that had to be addressed. The Cowboys addressed most of their needs prior to the draft.

I dont think KC would've picked Quinn with Huard's play last year. They also had bigger needs at other areas, like WR. A better question is *** were the Browns thinking? They should've offer NE, KC and other teams a trade offer NOT including their #1 overall next year.

John Clayton seems to think that teams are thinking 08 will be a weak draft.

John Clayton is an idiot, and weak could mean overall talent level, or depth, who knows how it will shape out

Those teams werent the threat of taking Quinn that we were and we were right in front of KC... another threatening QB team.

Becuase we only had 1 need and there were players available later who could get at the QB.

Most had their blinders on and had a certain player that they coveted.

According to Mort, Cleveland started calling teams when Quinn was still there at 11. Why no one took the deal before us I can't speak too. All I know is that everything worked perfectly for us. Perfectly.

I agree. I was praying Quinn would fall to the Cowboys because I knew someone would give up a first and more for him.
