i heard the same thing. word was he couldn't grasp what he was supposed to be doing all the time. which is a problem if he is giving defensive signals to the front 7TheCount;1976528 said:How's that? He had been tearing it up for 3 years before he got hurt last year.
I wouldn't mind trading a future pick for a potential Pro Bowler.Pabst;1976516 said:Thomas didn't cost any draft picks.
Plus I hear there are questions about Vilma's knees. Although, better your knee than your head, I suppose..
He could have taken Akin's spot and let James deal with giving defensive signals.Rampage;1976533 said:i heard the same thing. word was he couldn't grasp what he was supposed to be doing all the time. which is a problem if he is giving defensive signals to the front 7

Instead, we're stuck with old man Thomas.

If he was soooo good why would the team that drafted him #12 overall just 4 years ago let him go?
#1. He suffered a bad knee injury and had surgery 4 months ago.
#2. He fell off sharply in 2006 after a stellar 2005 season. (55 less TKLS) and was injured this year(and still is)
#3. It's not like he makes a ton of plays outside of TKLS. He averages 1 forced fumble per year and 1.5 INT per year and has has 2 sacks in his career and has 1 TD in his career.
