If the pass fails is was a bad play call. They should have run Murray.
If running Murray fails it was a bad play call. It should have been a QB sneak.

?? Are you talking about a bootleg? Otherwise I don't know what speed has to do with a sneak.

So you wanted our franchise quarterback, who was already limping badly even on hand-offs, to run directly into the defensive line and linebackers when our starting running back couldn't get into the end zone? Or maybe you wanted him to try diving over the line, launching himself with his bad leg. Yeah, that makes sense.

^^ This is someone who "gets" it :D

.. except you forgot the "even if something works, we should have done something different the down before" call.

The quote I read said that while it was a back injury, it was affecting his leg as well.

Yeah, sure looked like the leg to me. Maybe it was just that pesky sock that wouldn't stay up. lol

It worries me that if it affected his leg like they said (and it appears to be his leg during the game), it might be a nerve or disc injury.

No, I didn't at all...nor did I say I did in the post. I was questioning where speed came into the equation on a QB sneak looking to pick up a yard at most on those plays.

With Romo hurt, there's no way he was running straight up the middle therefore he would have a much larger distance to cover and he would have to do it before the defense closed in on him. To achieve this he would need .. you guessed it .. SPEED .. which he does not have even when he's not injured.

You want your franchise QB, who has some kind of leg or food injury to do a QB sneak? o_O

This is such a huge misconception. When have you ever seen a QB injured on a 1 yard sneak? Never. The hit has little impact because it is such close quarters.

And the reason you run it on the 1 is because you don't turn around and handoff and immediately lose 3 yards.

When you franchise QB, or anyone for that matter, has a hurt back, you don't want him being pushed up against a wall of human beings.
