why do we call vick ron mexico?????

ok so at the bar i went to watch the game at a couple of the fans around me called him ron mexico repeatedly, i was drunk and just kinda did it too, but i never really thought about why we call him that till my friend asked me after the game....so can anyone explain?

Its a faux name he used at the place he was tested for STDs... where he was found positive for Herpes.

Google can be your friend. It was on the court complaint Elliot Vs Vick aka Ron Mexico. She alleged that he gave her herpes and that he knew he had it because he often sought treatment at clinics using the name of Ron Mexico.
