Why do you hate Henson?

I just wanna know why all the Henson hate is out there. What is it that makes people think he can't be the future here?

Think about the way he is playing in NFLE and ask yourself how fast would he get scooped up if we cut him!

I think this guy has a great upside and will be the man in 2009, if not sooner. Let me know why you don't think so.

I guess some Cowboys fans are just a bit unsure if he can perform at the higher level. If he can that is great, but there will always be haters until he performs. Now cutting him, probably would be a terrible thing to do.

It's simple.

Some here went out on a limb in predicting his failure. "He's another baseball player. Haven't we seen enough ex baseball players" blah blah blah.

Now, ya have two kinds of people. Those who are true fans who would LOVE to be wrong with a prediction if it means the Cowboys will be better.

And then ya have those who would rather be right, even if it means rooting against a player on their team. Sorry, I don't call those people "fans". Well actually, they are fans... fans of themselves.

Ya see, those are the people who laugh and congratulate themselves with a pat on the back as they cackle, "See I told ya I was right. Your side of the ship is sinking"

I don't hate Henson....he's simply failed and isn't the long term answer in Dallas. Even if he finds away to hang around the depth charts, he's still under tremdous pressure to perform on a level comparable to the 'other' Drew playing QB ahead of him.

I dont hate Henson. I picked other by the way. What I do hate is that we keep reaching for our next QB. Carter/reach... Hutch/reach.... Henson seems like another reach. I for one am real glad hes doing well in the NFLE but to me that doesnt mean to much.

If he works out Ill be all giddy, if he doesnt we have now wasted half a decade trying to find a QB for the long term.

How is it an agenda? What possible effect could people's 'hatred' of Henson have on the actual operations of the team? Dick Cheney has an agenda; posters on Cowboyszone have opinions, some more informed than others.

I don't think it's an agenda, the fans that truly hate him are just angry we wasted a 3rd round pick on the guy.....especially given the problems this organization has had finding stability at the QB position in the post Aikman era.

At least we have one of the best in the business to lead us now, even if its only for another few seasons.

I just wish he were better than he is at this point. No hate, just disappointment. Maybe it's unfounded, but I want what I want, a quick fix at QB that will be a fixture for the next 7-10 years. Not much.

Agreed. What I personally dont understand are the people that are so quick to praise any little miniscule thing he says or does. I also dont really buy what Henson says about having 'football in his heart' or whatever it was he has been saying all offseason. He can talk a mean game and say all the right things, but if he were good at baseball and the Yankees stuck with him instead of pawning him off to the Reds for a sack of baseballs, I doubt he would be a football player. If he turns out good, then that is great, if not oh well, there will be no love lost.

LOL. Ignore Bledsoe4MVP. Any guy who obviously has man-love for his man will feel threatened when another man seems to threaten (no matter how remotely) his man's job. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

How does anyone "hate" someone who he doesn't even know and his behavior hasn't even remotely come close to generating such hatred. And it was JJ and BP who "wasted" that 3rd round pick and not any of the fans.
