Why do you think NFL doesnt use option plays?

an option offense could not be successful in the nfl for all the reasons listed....that being said once v.young is named the starter once again the speed option,from the shotgun,i believe, would be successful on occasion with the fastest qb in the league+the fastest running back in chris johnson=big play potential.

Unless Collins gets hurt or retires VY won't see the field again in TN.

Simply put the players on defense are too fast.

There are tons of reasons not to use it often at the pro-level.

when the chips are down and the D isnt dominate because of injurys and collins is asked to be more than a bus driver...and he sucks it up...they'll be calling for VY again. its a matter of time.jmo

I mean especially with the faster qbs.It never seemed to crossover into the NFL.I never understood why.The pitchout itself is usually successful.I would think with the QB able to run or pitch would be a sweet play.

LB's are too fast in this league! They would stop the option for a 5 yd loss almost everytime!

That'S exactly the reason.

And they are too good in reading plays.
