Why does Buehler get a pass?

He has not gotten a free pass. Plus he is not 0-2 on important FGs, he is 1-3. The FG he did make was important.

I miss Nick Folk. He was great at the onsides kick. Not that you really want to count on those too many times during a season.

I'm not sure if there is a physical issue or he is got so much going on in his mind that he can't get the depth on kickoffs he normally displays.

This to me is troubling because it was the pricipal reason he was brought here - touchbacks.

Makes it even easier to replace him if he keeps missing important kicks and keeping points off the board.

So far he's 0-2 on important FG's this year. Yet nobody is talking about something being wrong wth the almighty Buehler? He makes the FG in washington, we tied the game on that last drive. He makes is against Chicago, maybe-- just maybe-- the defense is in a totally different mindset. Whatever the case, he missed 2 field goals that were pretty damn important.

Plus, his practice time now is devoted to FG's which could impact his ability to kickoff into the EZ.

He pays 53 guys on the roster regardless if there are one kicker or two. So explain how the heck he is saving coin?

Folk is 5-5. I knew we had to make a move last year but I also thought he would get it back together. They should have signed him right back at the end of the season.

Not really hindsight, I believe I stated it then. I knew they had to go another direction last year but always hoped they would bring him back because he was so good his first two years I could not believe that was all gone.

Rackers has missed a FG this year.

Rackers is 6 for 10 on FGs for his career during the playoffs.

Rackers was 1 of 3 last year in the playoffs, which is the same as Beuhler is now. How would he be an upgrade?

Teams gamble all the time with kickers. The Patriots let Adam V. walk and replaced him with a rookie.

Being a pro kicker means nothing as we can attest with Nick Folk.

It means he has some history that causes a team to give him a little more slack than a team should with an unproven kicker.
