“Football for me, it’s my life’s work,” Romo said, according to Rainer Sabin of The Dallas Morning News. “That’s my career. I’ll be a husband, I’ll be dad and I’ll have been a football player at the time when I finish on this earth. In some ways, I want to give everything I can into being the best version of that I can be. There’s only 16 games a year, 16 days, that you’re guaranteed, and you’re really not even guaranteed that. ... You just want to make sure you give everything you can. It’s a great, rewarding experience if you’re able to do that at a level that you feel proud of.”

You can't ask for more in a quarterback, he's a class act that has put his body on the line time and time again. He is the ultimate team player and leader because it's obvious how much he cares about winning. If I was starting a franchise and needed a QB, after Manning, Brady and Rodgers I'll take Romo over everyone else.(Luck is close) It seems like every off-season he's constantly tinkering with his fundamentals and is never satisfied. The "choker" label is dead and should have never existed in the first place. If we have Romo, we're never out of a game.

The choker label is dead? To who?

Parr of the job. If you can play, you play. If you play the game for anything other than money.

Don't be surprised if he retires after this season.

What he's going through is no joke. He probably can't even get out of bed by himself in the morning. He's slowly getting addicted to the pain killers.

He's going to have an epiphany in the off-season and realize that his long term health is more important ... and he's going to walk away.

Wow. This is what happens when wild speculation turns into unfounded certainty.

I'd love to have Tony Romo as a teammate. There are better talents in the league but his is pretty significant and he sells out to maximize it, year after year. Can't ask for more than that...

In addition to the already good stuff mentioned, he does it to drive the haters insane.
Gives them something to whine about. :D

Also, on a comparison note, of being a warrior, playing in pain.
Reminds me of Staubach. How many times you seen Roger take a big hit, get up in pain. Or at least from some NFL films it seemed that way. But he kept playing.
Comparing being a warrior, not saying he is roger.
That is Tony.

Tony is a born competitor. He will always give maximum effort to get the win. He has an innate ability to put self interest aside and keep focus on the objective. This intangible ability puts him ahead of most QBs.

He's a football player.

He loves the win.

Loves the game.

Its in everything that he does.

He can't even explain it.

The best part is....... he's humble.

The dude is ice.
