Why doesn’t Dallas do what the Rams did?

This is bull****. I’m not a Jerry fan but he does want to win more than anything.
Yeah that's why for the last 20 years he brings in under-qualified/under-performing staff that he can bully and manipulate........

As long as people keep buying his merchandise or showing up to his country club stadium he won't lose any sleep

This off season, the Rams signed Suh, Marcus Peters, and Talib in free agency
Guess what? It’s working..........

It seems their roster/team building strategy is light years ahead of ours.

:dance::dance::dance:

There are NFL fans out there right now who are disappointed with their team’s start to the 2018 offseason. Whether it was talent lost, talent gained, or the contractual implications that ultimately impact the organization for this year and beyond, there is undoubtedly an entire fan base out there that is not satiated. They wanted more for, or from, their team.

But that is not the case for Los Angeles Rams’ fans, where there’s more excitement than downtime.

Players are being traded, picks are being shuffled, pro bowl players are being acquired, atrocious contracts are being discarded or reworked, and they are already on the books for compensatory picks in 2019. It seems as though every day in March a Rams’ fan could wake up and just feel the excitement.

Goodbye Robert Quinn, Alec Ogletree, and Trumaine Johnson. No love lost, and best of luck to you in your new homes. But hello Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, Sam Shields, and Ndamukong Suh.

Consider it addition by subtraction. And what the Rams have added this offseason isn’t something they’re hoping to build upon for a future run deep into the postseason. It’s predicated on a Super Bowl run in 2018.

I thought you were gonna say, fire their worthless head coach and bring in a young up and come with balls and a fresh ideas.

No, Rocky, he does not. He has admitted publicly that he's not a good GM, and still insists on doing the job. A man who wants to win more than anything will do anything to win. Jerry will not.

Exactly. He doesn’t want to win “more than anything”.

He wants to the GM more than winning. That’s clear.

Because we have a lot of non football people running our football operations

Stephen Jones literally believes you have to build ONLY through the draft and FA is to sign mediocre players at 'bargain deals'.

It's his ego preventing that realization. I really think he wants to win.
Absolutely. But he only wants to win under his own terms, so he does not want to win more than anything. He wants to win to validate himself, not understanding that it's too late for that.

Things do seem to be getting better, though.

That's very naive and lazy.

Jerry figured out the real way to be a billionaire is NOT to put a top notch team on the field, but to build a better field. He doesn't care about the team on the field, just the field. Now he can sell his field to whoever wants to use it. He is smart this way. As fans, he sucks as an owner because all of his moves are to better he and his family financially. The team is not important. He got his 3 SB trophies, thanks to Jimmy. He has all he could ever need. With his stadium and his practice facility, the Jones family is set for multiple generations. Dallas will become the Cleveland Browns as far as winning goes.

They still want a 9 win team so they can continue to sell the next years Champs mantra though...

And inaccurate. Jerry wants validation as a football man, which keeps us from super bowl contention, as he's just not football smart enough to build a super bowl contender. It's like a master house builder who sucks at mechanics insisting on doing his own mechanic work even though he keeps screwing up his cars.

We just don't have the front office expertise for this.
All you need to do to be in the Cowboy's front office is have the last name of Jones.
More sad days ahead, I am afraid.

Not it's not. He wants things done on his terms (even when he realizes its not for the best and it's resulted in 20 years of mediocrity) and if things don't work out it's not a huge deal, he's still getting the attention/money he seeks.

He doesn't want to win at all cost, the structure would of changed long ago if this was the case.

You keep telling yourself that. Just don't expect others to believe it.

Just one example. Jerry admits the only reason he brought Parcells here was to get a new stadium. Not to become winners again. Nope, to get the stadium deal done.

Tell us again about wanting to win more than anything......
