Bottom line is that Romo choked at the worst possible moment just like he did when he fumbled the FG snap.

It does not matter how well you played if you are the one who blew it when the team could no longer recover from it. When it was time to man up and win the game he crumbled under the pressure just like he did for his entire career. That's why Romo never won anything meaningful despite ample opportunities.

Aikman with 13-3 two seed: 52-17 SB win
Romo with 13-3 one seed: one and done
Dak with 13-3 one seed: one and done.

Winners win and chokers blow it.

Love Aikman. Bottom line....Romo and Dak had more weight to carry than Aikman ever did. You can start AND end with the fact that Aikman had Jimmy Johnson as has his head coach. Aikman....nor this franchise....was ever the same once Jimmy and/or his influence left the lockeroom (I'm including the early Switzer years, because Jimmy's influence was still there)

Romo was 25/36 for 506 yards with 5 TDs and 1 INT in that game against Denver. He did throw an untimely late INT. The Cowboys lost 51- 48 on a FG at the gun. By the way, 500 yards with 5 TDs had only been done 5 other times in the HISTORY of the NFL at that juncture.

The fact that you blame Romo for that loss says EVERTHING about what this franchise has become with Jerry as the chief architect. A fractured, discombobulated, chaotic reactive front office, lockeroom and fanbase. In a NORMAL football universe....the majority would agree that a QB with a 5:1 TD to INT ratio is NOT the problem. But we have Jerry to thank for this delusional universe we now stumble around in.
