Again, TO td celebration was nothing, how about last years game w/ the Giants and after scoring B. Jacobs flings the ball against the wall like he's in a racquetball court!! NFL = no fun league. Some many crappy calls, at least it wasn't Hochuli!!:banghead:

Yeah Brandon Jacobs and that incident... in retrospect... I agree.

What about the Lambeau leap?

I've banged on the Lambeau Leap for years. My theory is there is no way they will crap on the white bread franchise in Green Bay no matter what happens there.

it is BS.

I saw 2 or 3 ball spikings that went uncalled this weekend.

If it were T.O., the refs would have made it rain.

He got flagged because the rule specifically says you can not go to the ground for ANY type of celebration at all. When his knee touched the ground, that was it.

Don't get on one knee to pray then!

I think on Monday T.O should get on one knee to pray so he can get a flag and the Media gets all over the NFL for the rule, that be pretty funny.

"NFL Player was penalized for praying"

LOL

Hes a big name, and refs are always on the look out for big name players committing penalties. That's one of the drawbacks we have to face. Pacman under microscope. Flozell assumed to jump before snap. TO supposed to be a TD celebrator. etc etc.

If we are on a runaway lead, and TO scores. I would pay to see him pray and get flagged for it.

...piled on by his teammates celebrating an important last minute touchdown would he be fined for touching the ground?

Or what happens if a celebrating player is accidently hit by another player and he falls or puts his hand to the ground to balance himself?

Yeah. You can't use the ball as a prop, but you can use the ball as a projectile to hurl directly at people who are ******** and disabled at speeds that could break their noses.

It all makes sense.

The rule is all over the place.

Cant go to the ground, cant have group celebration but you can jump into crowd and have a group celebration with the fans and you can throw the ball anywhere.

I would not be suprised to see this changed eventually. Either tighten it up all the way or let them celebrate.

Even the removing the helmet rule is ridiculous. Pretty soon you wont be able to emphatically flip down your chin straps.

Had To done this in our house he would probably had gotten away with it , but is this seen as baiting? if so who is it baiting?

Do you think he has been told not to do it and if so will he listen? i think not in both cases :laugh2:

Excellent point....I would like to have an answer from the league to that question.

I can't even imagine the backlash TO would get for what would be seen an an inauthentic prayer.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Lambeau Leap is an exception under the NFL rules and is allowed...

I guess they don't consider prayer a celebration.

Kind of ticky tack. I think the anti-celebration stuff has gone too far because the celebrations were going too far. It's a shame.
