Always about the money. It may not seem like it this coming year but 2016 you will know why.
Sooner than that.

We are 12m under the cap this year and almost 40m under next year
oh yeah Carr has a cap hit of 12.7m this year and 13.8m next
Free is costing us 7m this year and 3m to cut him next year
McFadden and Dunbar equal half of Murray's cap number
When he is done in 2016 you still have to pay his dead money. We have finally started getting away from that.

Sometimes its more than money.
When the coach, the QB and the captain TE all fight for the guy, he is the type you keep
If you don't pay guys like Murray then what is the point of paying anyone. Just let every vet go and only play draftees
You just can't pay everyone. We tried that in the past

Not everyone, but RKGs in their 20's that just set Franchise and 50 year old NFL records are OK.
Flat out if you overpay a position that is short lived comparative to other positions and easily replaced you are an idiot. Stephen Jones thankfully is not.
why did we dump Murray again???
I wanted us to resign Murray because I think he is a really good RB and I wanted the continuity on the offense.. They offered him a boat load of money but Philly overpriced him. Sometimes you just got to fold so you can play another round. I certainly can see your point of view but it is what it is and we will see in a couple of years if we made the right decision..
Easily replaced is why we are having SJackson threads in August.
Last I heard, was slow, injury-prone, used up, couldn't hold onto the ball, and left too much food on the field, or something like that.
Murray wont be done in 2016
He is in great shape and works out as hard as anyone
No one can tell me 26 is the cut off for RBs
DAL has made a lot of great personnel decisions but they bought the wrong report on Murray
I think at this stage in his career he can be a effective role player. He doesnt have the quickness anymore to be an effective starting back in this league. However he can still run with power, pick up the blitz and catch a few passes out of the backfield.
Alot of good stuff has come out about Randle early in camp, and it looks like he has the early lead. McFadden when/if he is gets healthy offers us alot as a 3rd down back. But with the term "dirty yards" thrown around during the offseason, I dont think we have that back. I think that is where Jackson still has capabilities. Let me ask you this, in a critical 3rd and one situation, would you rather have an untested HB or would you rather have a player like Jackson that still has the power to make that play, and knows exactly what he has to do and where he has to go to get to that marker and move those chains
And you know this how?
