Why insert Romo hoping for one advantage while risking the possibility of losing many things?

Tony is just a better QB than Dak, and the best QB should start. Dak has done a great job, and has a great future, but by the time we're playing the Eagles on Jan. 01, the early games this season will be a distant memory and Tony will be the one to take us into the playoffs and beyond. I do kind of hope Dak plays the Eagles game and Tony comes back against the Browns to shake the rust off.

I think the better "Why" question is, why are Romo haters so terrified to put Romo in against the 0-6 Browns and just see what happens?
OK I am not a hater, nor do I say Dak is Better than Romo or vice versa.
They are two totally different style qb's

I just
1. want to see the Dak adventure play out for this season. To see where it leads.
2. The team looks better overall with dak at QB
3. Dak's style fits the team better at this point in time.
4. why put tony in for 1 game? the team has chemistry built up with dak, they would
have to adjust a lot of things , both players and coaches to go with tony.
5.If tony loses, that is a loss, and would affect seeding later on.
If he wins, he only beat cleveland, so what do you really know after?

My view is roll with dak, and have qb competition in 2017, and or let tony have a chance again in 2017.
But dont do it this season !!!!!!!!!!

Neither one is better, they are very different and hard to compare.
Dak is winning the team has momentum, so you roll with dak.

Right. Because they know there might be a team finally good enough to take Romo to a championship and prove them all wrong.
So it's all about taking Romo to a championship, sorry I don't think it's about one player, it's about the team and right now this team is better with two the rookie quarterback in the starting line up. Romo has had his chance and unfortunately for him, it hasn't worked out to this point. There may come a time in the near future, that the cowboys turn to Romo, but for now they need to stay the course with Dak.

You are right... Romo was a lot better than Brady in 2014
You do realize that Jacoby Brisett was never the quarterback in

We don't know where Tony will be able to take us, because he hasn't played in quite while, this isn't little league football, the cowboys don't owe Romo anything in regards to playing time. Some here thinks it's a given that if Romo were to start against the Browns it would be a cake walk, so they say why not start him. Well the reason is there are only 16 regular season games in the NFL, and you try to put your best team on the field every game. To say Dallas would be better with Romo at this point in his career, is something no one knows, and who wants to disrupt the teams chemistry to find out. Tony Romo isn't some all time great quarterback that some here seem to think he is, I'm not a Romo hater, as many are tagged as whenever they speak against him. But the truth is, Romo is a very good quarterback, who has never won anything.

Sounds like another scared Romo hater to me. And it's funny how Romo haters cling to the phony "chemistry" angle, can anyone name a time in the history of the NFL where a backup QB was sent back to the bench and the "chemistry" was tanked? Anyone?

With all due respect, I don't think it's the Romo "haters" who sound scared in this discussion.

Is that your way of saying, "No, I also can't think of any time chemistry was ruined by replacing a good player with another good player?"

It's my way of saying you're above having to define anyone defending a 5-1 QB who is the talk of the league as being "scared."

But carry on.

That's good to hear, because I'm not a Dak hater -- I'm a big Dak fan, and will be as long as he plays for the Cowboys. Jerry said Tony will start as soon as he's ready, and the good thing is that if we win the Super Bowl this year, no matter who is playing QB, both Tony and Dak will get a ring.:)

Right!! If Romo was to comeback in and ride the wave to a championship their hatred that Romo will never win a ring destroyed . All proven wrong.

Jimmy Johnson and players like Troy are just hating on Romo. What do they know?

I fully trust in Jerry making the right decision . Surely if this team can win with a 4th round rookie it can win with Romo too?

Cowboy fans are just consumed with winning.

Dak to the future needs to hold off while we get back to Romo Reality.

We've finally built a team Romo can go all the way with. He deserves it if he can stay on his feet .

Right? We'd rather win with Romo than Dak.
