Why is Brad Johnson on this team?

Goodness gracious. BJ is a waste of a roster spot. Romo is no rookie so he does not need a "old veteran" around to assist him. I regret we did'nt pick up Simms or Culpeper at this point.

Brad must be a GREAT team player in the locker room and the coaches MUST love him around because his arm is dead. He prevents us from straching the field and the opposing Defenses are crowding the box and jamming our recievers.

Please play Bollinger next week as he can do no worse than what we are gettings with BJ. We will not beat the G-Men with BJ starting at QB next week.

Because he wouldn't require as many snaps to get prepared. Problem is it took this long to figure out he can't play very well. I still see him starting for the Giants game. After that Romo would be back hopefully for the rest of the season from his injury. One more game to go.

To hold the ball on FG/Extra point attempts.

Johnson is garbage he serves no role on this team! It would have been devestating had we lost this game because of his ineptness...

dude, Culpepper is toast. His last several seasons even when he was able to play he was horrible.

Bif arm yeah, but also has a ten cent head...he's a turnover machine now.

Johnson was bad again today, but he's a washed up 40 yd old who never had a big arm to begin with.

For the OL to suck as bad as it does, there's just no excuse. That group cant block their way out of a wet paperbag right now.

There are a lot of 2nd string QBs out there who aren't going to play a full game without a fumble or interception.

That's a big deal.

I'd like to see Johnson make more plays, but at least he didn't turn it over. He should get credit for that.

You're probably right, but I have a hard time believing he would be worse than Brad Johnson.

Brad Johnson cannot play.

I give him credit for not fumbling, he did take some big hits. Romo probably would have put the ball on the ground a couple times today if he had those same hits.

That said, Johnson did nearly have 2 or 3 balls picked, including one that should have been an easy TD to Curtis. We had receivers open all over the place, and Johnson rarely hit them or if he did, threw such a bad pass that the guy had no chance to do anything after the catch.

I Think it's because most won't pay alot for a backup . So you have to take what you can get.

I'm hoping that Bollinger can maybe another Romo.

Brad Johnson is here because despite his limited physical tools, he can generally be counted on not to get you beat by doing something stupid. One cannot say that about Culpepper, Simms, or any of the other available qbs.

Having said that--pleeeeease get well soon, Tony.

Except that he has a negative TD:INT ratio.

Guess what?

You can't say it about Johnson either.

He had 3 INT's last week and lucked out that the Bucs dropped another 2 today.

Brad Johnson cannot play.
