Why is Marcus Spears still on the roster??

Do the stats show you how many times he occupied OL for a LBer to make the tackle? You are way to caught up in stats. Quite pathetic..

He actually had 35 tackles. 23 solo, 12 assists.

So...

Igor Olshansky? You think he is better than Spears right? According to his stats. he has 7 less tackles, 1 more sack, 1 less forced fumble, 2 less passes defensed.

Ty Warren? 3 more tackles, 1 more sack, 2 less passes defensed

Trevor Pryce? 8 less tackles, 3.5 more sacks (4.5 total), 1 less forced fumble

THE only LE that was a complete stud last year was Aaron Smith from Pittsburgh...

He had 23 solo tackles. Fact. Sorry I'm not going to count the times he came rolling in while a man was already on his way down. Yeah Ty Warren and Igor had 1 more sack each...for a whopping total of 2 for the season. LOL. Nice attempt at excusing mediocricy. :laugh2:

I understand the 3-4 fine. I have no problem with the lack of sacks, that's understandable. The lack of tackles though? Sorry I'm not giving him a free pass in this area.

Never did I say Olshansky and Warren are "adequate". I can turn that around and state using some of your all's standards, Spears is just as good as Olshansky and Warren. That is utter nonsense as well. :laugh2:

I think it stems from poor technique. He doesn't really use his hands well...he seems to do too much twisting and get impatient.

You really don't have critical thinking skills. I'll number out the logic really simply for you.

1) Spears is inadequate because of his tackle stats.
2) Olshansky and Warren have less tackles.
3) Olshansky and Warren are inadequate.
