Why is there no Buzz around this guy, Nick Fairley?

He was... For one year... In College... When he wanted to be...

He is lazy. Often out of shape. Takes a significant amount of plays off. Is football dumb. Is a cancer off the field. Most importantly, not a RKG.

That is the key. Could easily pull a Ratliff.

goes completely against what you just said.

Can you refute my points?

I said that I have no confidence he will put it together because he requires motivation that is beyond a coach yelling at him? What shows that its completely against what I said?

It wasn't just Aaron Murray either. He is one of the few players I have no problem saying is a terrible human being.

Oh my God, you're an UGA fan. Why even enter the conversation as though you're unbiased in some way?

You guys are plagues on the internet in serious football discussion. Just complete flame-throwing.

Actually, you said, "he's not a bad guy... he needs special motivation more than a coach yelling at him."

He is a bad guy. He's a complete a-hole on and off the field.

What motivation does he need that Auburn and Detroit haven't both gone out of their way to provide? Should they dangle a steak from the other team's QB?

Fairly is a lazy and arrogant. He doesn't work hard because he doesn't think he needs to. He takes plays off because he wants to. That's not a motivation issue. That's being a bad football player and being completely unaccountable. I wouldn't trust him with a rookie contract, let alone a big free agent deal.

Yeah, I'm a UGA fan living in San Antonio, TX. Boy, your sleuth skills are so good, I wasn't even aware of that. Did you or did you not just say you're an Auburn fan, yet you're trying to hound dog me for bias? Clown shoes.

If a player can't get motivated during a contract year, what do you expect the player to do when he has gotten paid and the money is in the bank?

Do not want in Dallas and rather go the draft route especially if all that player can do is accumulate 3 sacks a season.

Wow, did not know of his personality issues (lazy, jerk off type), probably bc Suh gets so much attention for having bad character issues himself for being dirty, etc. No way would I want the team investing long term (SB) on this type of character.

He got benched early last season for being out of shape and his poor play. He picked it up a little after he realized he was costing himself millions. DET declined his 5th year option that would have been around 5-6m I think.

Fairley has been injury prone, consistently out of shape, shown a lack of production on the field and has had issues off the field.

Other than that, he should be a hot commodity.

Not a good resume, eh?

Anyone have a link of stories about him being bad off the field?
Thanks.

He's overrated and will want too much money. Nothing that special about him. Like someone mentioned, if he's not hurt, he's out of shape. He benefits from playing next to Suh. He's not a guy you can build around.

No way would I spend a lot of money on him.

Not lately, sunshine. Brent paid his dues. Reformed as far as we know.Back in the league. Dez? Blown out of proportion per the media. What else ya got?
