It's obvious that the line can't give him enough time. IT's also obvious that Bledsoe holds the ball too long at times. So why not use the shotgun? This is why people are upset with Parcells because he refuses to change his thinking for the players he has. Bledsoe ran the shotgun in Buffalo, why not now?

Because our center can't do a regular snap and block. Do you really want him shotgun snapping it?

According to ESPN, Bill Walsh once learned a lesson he always remembered. One time on the road, Joe Montana and the 49ers decided to go with a Shotgun formation. Unfortunately the crowd was so loud no one could hear the snap count. The ball was snapped too early and Montana lost it. And Bill Walsh never used the Shotgun on the road again.

Don't know how true it is. But that may be why an old school coach like Bill Parcells does not want to use Shotgun on the road. Especially gainst a loud stadium like Washington's.

He doesn't use it at home and Texas stadium is as quiet as a church.
