He's a great DC, but he;s also a yes man, just like in Buf when Flutie lead team to playoffs, he names Rob 'OMG' Johnson the starter in the playoffs, granted they lost on a miracle finish, Wade should have never benched Flutie...

To me as a head coach Wade should go up to Garrett in tell him to cut his routes shorter and get all the WRs involved.....

Our plays goes like this; look TO deep if not open hit RB....or look for Witten if not open look RB..or Shotgun draw.....

excuse the weak thread but I don't type as fast as I think, I rather talk in person then type but the only person I get to talk to about the Boyz is my brother and that conversation is normally rated R.....and we talk only 2 times a week....

but this as a very frustrating season and I know we still have a chance, shoot I still think were gonna win it all, but to me we need to show heart and pride and stop BS'ing and do this Crap ;)

You cannot blame Wade Phillips for being a "yes man".

He took over this team with no input on who his offensive coordinator was going to be. That was chosen for him by the General Manager.

He is not a head coach with a broad stroke of authority. In fact, he's hardly a head coach at all. I see him as a glorified coordinator.

Don't you have to be a "yes man" of sorts to accept those conditions of employment as a head coach?

Back when Wade was hired, anyone who mentioned the decision to bench Flutie for the Music City Miracle game as evidence of Wade's lack of authority as a head coach was summarily dismissed.

He is a yes-man because that's what he gets paid big bucks to be. Who knows, it might even get him a ring someday.

He is not the 1st head coach handed an O-Coordinator

Tony Dungy was handed one when he went to Indy

Wade has always been a push over

Wade is such a "yes" man for Jerry because every day before practice Jerry gives him a soft cookie and tickles him under his chin.

Then Jerry bets against his team to pay for his share of that new stadium. How else could we explain the stupidity that goes on around here?

and Dungy has no say in that offense to this day. dungy is a glorified game manager that is vastly overrated.

but its the nfl and if you win you are the best coach ever... like barry switzer right?

btw, how long did peyton hear he couldn't win the big game?

only one team per year can shut up the critics the other 31 teams just have to deal with idiocy.

Dude Tony turned the Bucs from one of the most historic organization of losing into a winning one; he took over Indy and guided them to the Playoffs and the SB year in and year out. He may not be the greatest ever but the man does something right year in and year out.

He still got more out of [players than Wade ever has

The man is a great overseer and that is what this team needs. Wade and Norv with an overseer. The problem is 3 different philosophies so the whole thing needs a rework.

I saw Flutie in person totally stink it up late that Season at New England - he could not make any downfield passes. Johnson move sans the Music city fiasco was right call.

JJ HIRED WHAT HE WANTED AND YES, ITS REAL DANGEROUS FOR OUR FUTURE THO THE COACH PHILLIPS IS NOT THE "PROBLEM"

GM JJ unchecked is, place blame his way next few years....

Tell you what. If I had a billion dollars in my team, and if I'd just borrowed however many hundred million dollars for a new stadium, everybody, and I mean *everybody* who worked for me would be saying 'yes' to me all the time. What doesn't make sense to me is why people expect Jerry to hire head coaches who might antagonize him.

People don't like Wade b/c he's positive about his team all the time in the media. This is because they don't have the sense to see (or to listen to the many reports) that he's doing that for a reason, and that he's very likely a different personality with the team. Sure, fans may like to hear a player get ripped for a turnover or a missed tackle, but talking that stuff in the press doesn't help the team get better. In Dallas, it just invites distraction and the kind of turning on players that we've seen with Roy Williams and--this is still unbelievable to me--Tony Romo.
