Why isn't Randy Gregory more productive yet?

He was terrible against the bucs. I kept looking for 94 and i promise it looked bad ( when he got his chance) He was stood up and tossed back like a 5lb ( not the 10lb) sack of potatoes. Our rookie DE is only 5-10lbs heavier than seahawks SS whos playing at 234

Give him 2 years, 20-25 more lbs, a little more strength, motivation, and some good coaching.

Because we overrated him, like every single person on this roster?

I don't think so. He was absolutely explosive and dominant in the first game and just not the same since the ankle. He gets the benefit of the doubt simply due to his body of work in college, camp and that game.

It was figured Gregory's high ankle sprain in the opener could hinder his rookie season some. He looked very good in preseason but the missed games due to the injury that still could be hampering him some has stunted his development. Hopefully we'll start seeing some of the flashes with him we saw during the summer before this season is done.

He's a rookie; It takes time.

The same thing was said about Mo. Not saying Gregory will end up like Mo but his rookie season has been a disappointment so far. The only positive is he looked very good this summer I'm sure the high ankle sprain he suffered in the opener is what set him back.

Extremely few DEs prove themselves impactful during their rookie seasons. So far, that's been the nature that Gregory's career has followed but to be fair, he's suffered a high ankle sprain. It's a nasty injury that is routinely a lingering, recurring one to recover from. I wouldn't be too surprised if it's next year or perhaps even longer before he grows bigger, stronger and somewhat more skillful before he begins to demonstrate elite production.

What's going on with him.

He showed a ton of promise, got injured. Understandable that we would ease him back in. But he isn't getting many snaps and I don't understand why?

In the little work I've seen of him, he looks good.

Any word?

ask the coaches.

Because he's still kinda skinny. Give him some time. I guess Bill Gates made 80bil overnight.

Rod Marinelli is a crappy coach?

Well lets agree he half been an irrelevant coach. And did I ever --here or on any universes --say crappy? Just garden variety grumpiness you know how those thing go . . . hey what is our place in NFL defensive ranking?

Did you have a stroke or something?

I'd work on your English man... its "has" and "give" not "half" and "gift"

Gregory will be the type to clean up if we can ever get a big lead and get a team in shotgun for an entire half
