The only way Taylor would end up getting the sentence he deserved is if Clinton Portis was his defense attorney, while wearing one of those ridiculous costumes.
He didn't kill anyone he confronted the thugs who stole his ATV's.... and there is still speculation that he may not have actually pulled a gun it's the theives words against his the theives are also being looked at for robberies in the area (or where suspected of them) I'm not saying what he did was right or wrong but it's a lot less than Goodrich.....Little Killed someone while DUI was given probation then not sure of the time but somewhere in the less than a year later was pulled over for DUI again and walked that punk should be in jail.....Teague31 said:Doesn't he have a firearms charge in Miami still pending? doesn't it carry mandatory jail time if he is convicted? I don't think that's the case in FL they can't lessen the charges on crimes with guns and there is a mandatory sentence. earlier they talked about a plea but there was no way around the new gun laws in FL.Boysathelm said:He won't receive jail time. The prosecuting team offered Taylor and the defense a plea bargain (involving some jail time), and Taylor's attorney refused. In the court of law, that usually means that the defense is confident that the prosecution has nothing.

IIRC Texas is one of the few states (if not the only?) that specifically allows you to use lethal force to protect your property.. and I hear it goes over big there. Just because he happened to be in Florida it all of a sudden becomes a horrible crime against humanity?
