Why isn't the full roster available on game day?

Does anyone know the logic behind not allowing your full 53 man roster available for game day?

What is it, something like 43 players can suit up?

THE NFL official reason (excuse) is that if one team has a bunch of injuries and the other does not, then the 45 rule equalizes it out. Its all about "parity". To me it is a pile of warm camel dung. So what if one team has more injuries- its called football. Each team should have available to play all players on their roster on game day. Lets be brutally honest- how much difference really is there when you add the last 6-7 players on a roster? To me allowing all players allows you to rest more of your players- and in the end would probably prevent injuries. Thus giving teams at the end of the year more options. Better teams and better games. The NFL as usual seems to always miss the bigger picture.
