Not really the same thing, is it? Not taking it easy on a guy with a preexisting condition is not the same as paying somebody to hurt a player.

He's not talking about taking it easy, he's talking about targeting specific injuries to the point where it is question if that is legal.

Just like the BountyGate where Gregg Williams talked about targeting Frank Gore's head. And there never was any evidence that guys collected money from the Saints.

But, money or not, targeting a guy to injure him is low class either way.

Yes, and Clay Matthews should be ashamed.

I do not believe in targeting an injured player to cause further damage but I do think it is smart to target the injured player. If a CB has a bad shoulder or has issues turning a certain way then you call plays to take advantage of it. If a DL player has a bad ankle then you call running plays right at him to take advantage.

Agree. Matthews was clearly going after Tony's lower body.... against the " protected species ... aka Brady/Manning" rule, but not applicable to Cowboys..... even with a Blandino type interpretation.

Of course they fined him for what looked like a mean/but legal shot on Wilson , as he is a " protected " in the making.....

I swear Tony seems to not be liked by the NFL, cause it seems that guy gets hit way after the whistle and below the legs more than any other QB by a long-shot.

I've seen Tony get up after a questionable hit on him screaming at the refs..they just walk away.
