Felix Jones. I just went back and looked at his highlights from the few games he played along with the preseason games. This guy is unbelievable. The thing that makes him special is that he's at full speed after about 5 yards, which is why he makes so many big plays. I can't wait to see Felix healthy this year and his impact on this offense. I just hope he stays healthy.

I thikn the pressure is squarely on Garrett's shoulders this year. Everyone knows the offense went backwards last season after a great 2007 season. There is no question that a healthy Jones has a impact on offense. What I would really like to see is him solely being used as a RB and not a return guy.

I think if someone emerges as a decent KR guy, other than Miles Austin, he won't be back there as often. Just because of the injury possiblity. Austin & Scandrick probably will be given the 1st opportunity. Unless we draft someone. Which I hope they do not draft specifically for a KR. They never work out. As in Skyler Green comes to mind.

However, I do see some situations as where Felix may be out there, but not necessarily taking the ball everytime he is there.

I agree that our offense will be better with a healthy Felix Jones in the lineup but we also need to have a healthy O-Line or at least quality depth there.

Felix Jones....Tashard Choice.....Marion Barber... Jason Witten.....Martellus Bennett....Roy Williams.....Miles Austin....Patrick Crayton....Sam Hurd.....A HEALTHY offensive line...A HEALTHY Tony Romo. A chance to have an extremely balanced attack!!! Something we didn't have last year, largely in part due to injuries.

i wouldnt expect too much from felix just yet-i doubt he will return kickoffs atleast early on.the injury has to be carefully monitered as it could be a recurring problem.

I'm ambivalent about him returning kicks. Walker did it but even then the hits weren't as violent IMO.

I'm excited about Felix. And as long as we are never losing in a game, we can expect him to get a decent amount of carries.

I know you don't want him back there because of injury concerns and that makes sense but the guy is very dynamic on returns and can give us 6 at any time from there.

I think we're going to draft a shifty WR type in the middle rounds. A Dante Hall type that might make it as a slot receiver but can take over the KR duties... I see less of Felix back there returning kicks this year.

I want to see the punt and kick return duties given to someone who doesn't play a lot. I hate risking a starter. It's just not smart. Reminds me of preseason about a decade ago when the Giants had Jason Sehorn returning a kick at the start of the game. Carted off the field with a blown ACL. Done for the year.

I agree it's on Garrett. Romo can't be throwing the ball 35-40 times a game. We have to focus on and stick to a run game, the run game is now the strength of this team, use them all in some sort of way.

If Austin becomes a solid #2, then he probably shouldn't be returning kickoffs either. I'd like to see a special teamer take over, and leave the skill players to play the skill positions.

I disagree. Felix returning kicks adds another dimension of win in our arsenal.

It also adds another dimension of injury too. I don't remember seeing Emmitt or TD back there returning kicks. Both were too valuable to our offense and the risk of injury was kept strictly to one phase. Why run those guys out there for STs of you can get a specialist to do the same? It's a very long season and seeing Felix get injured because we felt we absolutely needed him with the ball in his hands at all time (forgetting that we're trying to run our offense through him) gives me the heebie jeebies.

Now, if they're trying to make Choice or MB the feature back with Felix as the change of pace I would be less skived about Felix returning kicks. However, I still believe you can maximize his touches strictly on offense by getting creative and moving him around if you're going to go that "change of pace" route.

Hopefully Red is up to the task...

If Felix becomes the feature back then I'd like to see Choice returning kicks, if not then we need Felix to return kicks. We need a threat in special teams, hopefully we find one in the draft...

I agree with that. I'd be fine with Felix back there returning kicks if they don't plan to make him the featured back. Hopefully we find a gem in the draft. Percy Harvin has been pretty impressive but I think we'd have to maneuver around to get him.
