The "year later they know the system" is given as why they will be better. Heck, they were an Orton pass from possibly not making playoffs. I must seriously be missing something. Why get upset about them being pumped up? If anything it will be that much sweeter when they fail to live up to the hype (remember the Dream Team). It's better to be low key.

They take figments of their imagination very seriously up there in philly...santa, tooth fairy, easter bunny, super bowl rings...santa and his elves have a better chance.

In 2011 there was no need to play because the Eagles were the Dream team. They finished 8-8.

In 2012 there was no need to play because the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants were not coming back to earth any time soon. They finished 9-7.

In 2013 there was no need to play because RG3 and his unstoppable athletic ability were going to change the NFL. They finished 3-13.



Forgive me if I don't tremble. All 3 years we were in the mix, and two of them we weren't healthy.

Losing Desean will hurt. They have no one to stretch the field with. And defensive coaches with a whole offseason to prepare tend to pick up on offenses and players.

They may win the division by default but they are in no way some great team people need to fear. Their defense is pretty bad, as it was last year.
