WP has done a great job of getting this team focused and ready to play everyweek. The offense is kicking in all cylinders we and the defense is starting to shape up. I don't care how easy the schedule has been so far, we didn't put it together and the team did exacltly what good teams are supposed to do when they play teams that are struggling. The OL has been solid, Romo has been spectacular, RBs have played great, WRs, as a unit, have been damn near unstoppable, even without the #2 reciever. The defense has taken a step forward each game after giving up lots of points in the opening game. Generally speaking, they are getting healthy and starting to flourish in Philipps 34. The coaching staff as a whole has done a great job so far and Jerry's choice of WP over Turner is begining to look like one of the smartest decisions he has made as an owner/GM.

I believe the game against the Pats in less than two weeks will be yet another chance for WP to demonstrate why he was the right choice for the job. If he can scheme against the Pats offense in such a way to disrupt what they do on offense we can assume that the defense we have been waiting for has finally arrived. We have seen glimpses of what they can do so far but we haven't really seen it against an offense of the Pats caliber. That matchup should be a great measuring stick for how ready this defense is as a whole but also how much WPs scheme is starting to take root with the players.

Personally, i think the D has to be extremely physical against the Pats offense. Lots of QB pressure, jamming the WRs at the line, and punishing them when they do catch the ball. I hope Henry will be ready to play by then i believe he is the most physical corner we have. I also hope they utilize Patricks hieght in this match up by providing help to who ever will be covering Moss. If anything he is tall enough to jump and get in his line of vision when the ball is thrown to him:D

I don't mean to overlook the Bills, but as somebody elso said in this forum in another thread, i'm not a player i can afford to do that.

just my two cents.

Wade said a while back he is the Head Coach over the entire team and Stewart was the DC. Phillips splits his time between both units and I think more than anything he has brought an attitude change to this team. No doubt he has a major influence over the D and it was a main reason he was brought in but I think he is showing himself as more than a DC but that of a Head Coach.

Your right it's not our fault for the schedule, and teams losing, remember when the winers use to beat on that weak division nfc west.

Wade = KISS = Keep It Simple Silly = "Offense, what do you want to do? Score alot of points and dont hold us back" - Wade's answer: Umm..OK! Do it! Garrett, you got that? Yes..... Great!

Wade said he will not call plays but he said he will tell the OC when he wants to get a certain guy more involved in the game and of course as HC when we go for it on 4th that is Wade's call to do it and Jason’s job to get it done. Wade did say though he is the Head Coach not the DC and I think Wade wants to show that he is a true HC not some Buddy Ryan defense guru who holds the position of HC and I think Wade demeanor has had a positive effect on the entire team offense and defense alike

Wade: Hey Jason, can I see a nice playcall for TO on the next play? I heard he slept in his hyberbaric chamber last night... I want to see if it makes a difference.
Garrett: Ok, will do. What do you want? A slant or deep pass?
:laugh2:

:laugh2: Not sure the conversations are exactly like that but sound good to me. Wade much like Jimmy Johnson though is not calling plays he is leaving that up to his coordinators but of course giving his input.

I can't agree more. PB was a great hire when Jerry hired him. He turned this team around and has put together a geat team. But for what ever reason/s toward the end he wasn't getting the most out of all the players. WPs timing coundn't be more perfect either becasue i think the players seem to be responding well to his coaching style and personality. His approach, in a way, is pretty simple. Make the players accountable without cracking the whip. He plays to his players strengths and trusts them to get the job done, which makes them feel not only empowered but also responsible and accountable. Case in point.... the story about the team studing on the plane on the way to chicago even though they weren't told to do so.

All is well on Cowboys land so far folks...............let the good times roll;)

Good point. I think this team is ALREADY at a point where they not only want to win every game.... but they dont want to let Wade down by losing a game. Its truly a case of "its better to loved than feared" - the latter being Parcells reign...
