WP has done a great job of getting this team focused and ready to play everyweek. The offense is kicking in all cylinders we and the defense is starting to shape up. I don't care how easy the schedule has been so far, we didn't put it together and the team did exacltly what good teams are supposed to do when they play teams that are struggling. The OL has been solid, Romo has been spectacular, RBs have played great, WRs, as a unit, have been damn near unstoppable, even without the #2 reciever. The defense has taken a step forward each game after giving up lots of points in the opening game. Generally speaking, they are getting healthy and starting to flourish in Philipps 34. The coaching staff as a whole has done a great job so far and Jerry's choice of WP over Turner is begining to look like one of the smartest decisions he has made as an owner/GM.
I believe the game against the Pats in less than two weeks will be yet another chance for WP to demonstrate why he was the right choice for the job. If he can scheme against the Pats offense in such a way to disrupt what they do on offense we can assume that the defense we have been waiting for has finally arrived. We have seen glimpses of what they can do so far but we haven't really seen it against an offense of the Pats caliber. That matchup should be a great measuring stick for how ready this defense is as a whole but also how much WPs scheme is starting to take root with the players.
Personally, i think the D has to be extremely physical against the Pats offense. Lots of QB pressure, jamming the WRs at the line, and punishing them when they do catch the ball. I hope Henry will be ready to play by then i believe he is the most physical corner we have. I also hope they utilize Patricks hieght in this match up by providing help to who ever will be covering Moss. If anything he is tall enough to jump and get in his line of vision when the ball is thrown to him
I don't mean to overlook the Bills, but as somebody elso said in this forum in another thread, i'm not a player i can afford to do that.
just my two cents.
