I don't get it, they have won zip since he has been here. One of the greatest pass rushers ever and has not won jack.

he does from people who follow this team closely and are interested in the BOTTOM line....wins and losses. Then there are those who insist he is a first ballot HOFer. And I don't see it. I would not have said that 5 years ago...but what has really been accomplished between then and now? We have missed the playoffs 4 straight years. He is RAPIDLY detioriating before our eyes. I don't think there is ONE...ONE time in a game we have lost this year where he has ended a drive. You think back to the Lions, Broncos, Packers...all close losses. All games where the offense scored more than enough. And also games where the oppostion enroute to game winning drives converted multiple 3rd or 4th downs. I don't think our "main" guy ended one of those drives with a sack, strip, interception etc...these are the moments defensive players should be able to reference when stating their case for Canton! It is easy to point to specefic plays on multiple occasions for offensive guys...but for defense...when you get in these moments...make a play...if you don't...you ain't ELITE.

Well we know in this league you can live and die by your quarterback. Ware, more so this season has taken some naps on defense. But he's been hurt. I personally believe Ware is more of a product of a player just aging and his body is breaking down.

That being said, when this team wins? Romo gets the credit. When they lose he gets the credit. Its the life of the NFL QB. If Romo can't handle it he can retire.

A thread about Tony Romo thinly veiled as a thread about Ware. Come on man you already know the answer. Ware has been perhaps the best pass rusher of the past decade. Romo has not done the same at his position. Also, the quarterback position always takes more heat because they are the leader of the offense.....which is the main source of points....which you need to win games. Close this thread.

Agreed.

But since the OP thinks ware should take some heat - How about the tweet that he will take a paycut followed by the clarification tweet that he will restructure and refuses to take a paycut.

Talk about bad PR after a disappointing season by him.

Justin Tuck single-handedly wrecked the Patriots offense and played like a monster the year they upset them bamas. You ain't ever seen that type of play from Ware. At least Tuck got injuries with a SB to show for it.

I'd argue that Witten is under some type of immunity. He ain't won anything as well and got a pass with the Cabo trip.

Many will disagree but Ware isn't the player Haley was. Haley wanted to win to the point he went psycho on his teammates. Ware smiles on the sidelines during a rout in the playoffs. Haley was relentless and played mean. Ware is a great player who is more talented than Haley was but Haley had that strong desire to win if it meant taking the QB out and anyone else who got in his way. I love Ware but he disappears in big games. Haley elevated his play in big games. Ware has better Stats but Romo has better stats than Aikman so there you go.

Yes sir agree 100%, I take Haley every single day over Ware. Ware is the better athlete, but Haley had a lot of DOG in him that Ware simply does not have. We need more Haley's and Dez's on this team...Boy do we need more Dez's on this team.

I was not aware pass rushers touched the football each and every down with a chance to score points.

Because has been the best player at his position, and Tony hasn't.

So then where are these sacks or big plays when the team needed him most.

How many times have you wished for him to make that play only to watch him get blocked out of the play.

I think the OP is kind of a silly question, but I do think Ware needs to stop getting the slack he gets. He's been pretty much a nonfactor all year, and arguably the last couple years. Great in garbage time, but a no-show when we need him most.
