Dallas (with starters) barely beat them the first time in Dallas. And Collins runs the Commanders' offense better than the other guy.

People keep saying this, but they never mention that Wade admitted the fact that he wasn't prepared for that game. He expected the 'Skins to run, yet they threw it over 50 times. In other words, Wade was caught off guard, and so was the team. I don't think that will happpen again.

I'm not sure if we can really bury anyone without TO. If we play to win, we're going to be playing well into the 4th if not all the way to the wire.

IMO when you play half assed and timid you INCREASE your chance of injury and negative low morale. I say we go 100% minus those who are knicked and banged up.

1) Sit everyone knicked up
2) Start Brad Johnson
3) Let Julius play the entire game at RB with Thompson as his sub, Fasano starts at TE, Glenn, Hurd Austin and Stanback all play
4) Sit T-New, Henry, De Marcus, and Greg on D- the rest play as normal, Ratliff very limited reps let Tank get the bulk of the work this week. Bowen and Hatcher get alot of PT.

Let the game play out. Take an agressive game plan into Washington. Break out a couple of gadgets and some trickery and see how the game plays out. On D, play stout vs the run and let Collins try and beat us on 3rd downs- and bring the house at him.

We're not going to get blown out, even if we sat every starter for a back up... the Skins do not have that kind of team to be able to pull away too far.

IF: We have a chance to win the game late, Insert Romo, Witten and Barber into the game to seal the deal.

Good night Irene.

Happy Holidays to the Washington Commanders- Love, The Dallas Cowboys

I don't care how we're playing now. With the way the injuries have mounted the last two games, I don't want to take the chance.

Sit Romo.

Sit Barber after the first quarter.

Sit Witten after the first quarter.

Play as many backup OL as we can.

Sit Glenn. Give him even more time to strengthen that quad.

Sit Ware. I don't care how many more sacks he could get.

Sit Newman and Henry as much as possible.

And rotate in everybody that can play. Lets see Stanback, Carpenter, Spencer, Rogers, Oglesby, Ball, Brown, Bowen, Hatcher, Tank, Killer, McQ, Free, Proctor, Austin, Hurd, Curtis, etc...

I think the only players that shouldn't play are those that are banged up. We need them healthy for the play offs.

This doesn't exactly make me feel all warm inside.

Wasn't prepared? Caught off guard? Are you kidding me?

Or you could ask the last three NFC Superbowl teams, all of whom lost their last regular season game and still won the conference.

Exactly, and the minute we leave Romo in to the second quarter and he breaks his ankle - well......imagine this board then......

As Curt Gowdy used to like to say on 3rd & 3 situations...."They could run or pass on this down."

Yeah, no crap Curt.

There's only 2 options...run or pass, yet Wade was caught off guard? No contingency plans?

Doesn't know a team playing catch up is going to throw 50 times? What...he thought they were going to grind it out?

No Boy Scout that Wade.

Phillips is 0-3 in the playoffs. Play every game as it's the last.
We can't afford to relax.

At the very least, rest our INJURED guys, and even the ones that are even just a bit dinged.

Newman - don't suit up

Henry - don't suit up

Columbo - ditto

Gurode - ditto

Owens - ditto

Watkins - ditto

Ratliffe - ditto

Romo - play just a quarter to keep him sharp

Yeah, I'm a Wade fan and that game caused me some concern and so did the game against Detroit when they unexpectedly ran instead of passing as per usual. Apparently, the way to beat Wade is to play outside your norms while he prepares to defend against your norms. Do the unexpected, pull a gimmick play from time to time. Just a guess.

What makes you think we will?
Because we are better team and our starters have more talent than their starters, you obviously don't believe we are.

We sqeaked by them at home WITH T.O. who had a huge day(3 td's), a healthy Romo, healthy Newman, healthy Ratliff and others. Now we have Crayton, Hurd and Austin. I like them, but trust me they don't scare the Commanders corners.
So what? We still have enough of weapons to win and I believe they will. Also, first you said with starters, not backups.

They did absolutley nothing against the Panthers secondary.
The same Panthers who just beat seahawks, a division champ. Yeah, they are a horrible team.

Unlike you, I believe we are better than skins and the records bears that out and I believe we will beat them.

Is there really such a thing as playing for fake? Our guys are going to go out and play to win, regardless of who is on the field. I'd expect starters to play at least a half on offense and the defense play the entire game unless hurt.

There is a lot of talk about resting starters...big mistake, IMO.

Teams that rest'em before a bye lose. 3 weeks off is way too much time away. You are rusty, timing is off, you are not ready for full contact and you are playing a team in their normal routine high off a playoff win. In other words you face a probable early hole to dig out of and very likely an early exit from the playoffs.

Another reason to play'em is it's Washington. One, we hate them and rolling over and giving them a playoff birth seems creepy...kinda like having sex with your sister kind of creepy. Two them getting in means 2 NFC East teams in as WC and greatly increases our chances of having to play one of them again and playing them a 3rd time sucks.

Statements...we have a statement to make. We have too many players on the roster who have been a part of several late season swoons. So far in December we are 2-1 and neither win was pretty. Entering the playoffs on a loss, going 2-2 in December doesn't sit well and shouldn't. Plus we have a shot at winning 14 games, something no Cowboys team has done before.

Now obviously we shouldn't play guys that are hurt or with nagging injuries, but everyone else should play and we should play it for real. Playing a quarter or a half is worthless and the message it sends is it doesn't matter, let's just cruise and not get hurt. Well, playing that way against a team needing to win, a team who is a hated division rival, is a sure way to get someone hurt.

So Wade, play'em. Play to win. Play aggressive on both sides of the ball. Get a big lead, knock them out of the playoffs and then get the starters out late when the game is won. Washington will be relaxed thinking we won't be playing for real and they are getting a gimme...so come out and smack them in the face.

I agree, but it really don't matter because I've felt we were going to lose this game anyway even at full strength with something to play for. We've lost 2 straight at WAS, and 3 of the last 5 overall. And this skins team is playing lights out compared to our last meeting when we were lucky to hang on for the win...

LOL. Did you watch the game? There was no catchup in this game. The 'Skins had the opportunity to go ahead even more except for a rightfully overruled intereception return to the the Dallas one. This was a back and forth game.

You coach against an opposing teams tendencies. When they throw something new at you, you have very little information and time to make adjustments to what they're doing. It's just a fact. Three hours or less during game time vs days preparing pre-game time.
